In this video I demonstrate how to download and place a custom content house/lot in the sims 4. If you are still finding trouble with downloading lots and/or houses in the sims 4 FIRST CHECK OUT THIS UPDATED VIDEO I CREATED HERE: • *DETAILED* HOW TO DOWN... SECOND make sure you are following all instructions step by step. THIRD make sure to put all cc where it belongs and tray files in its folder FOURTH make sure you toggle on custom content in your library.

@@rxm7874 mine used to be like that but I started merging my mods (clothes in one merge package, accessories in one, house cc in one, etc) and now my computer is hella fast.

No you should have a tray folder already once you download your game if you do not have one I would recommend redownloading the sims 4

Hello everyone, I buyed The sims 4 in Origin, when I see the gallery, I pick some DOWNLOAD CC house and when I want to put to some place, but - the game shows me a table with this warning: One or more items may not be installed on your computer. It is also possible that the EA account you are currently logged in to does not own these items. .... please help me, do you think its because I have only basic game, no addition like Seasons etc... or EA its updated because maybe they trie to prevent "unnoficial downloads".... I dont know. Thank you everyone!

Well if it is CC houses which is Custom Content Homes then you need the CC to go with it meaning you would have to download it. If not and its just houses off the gallery then yes you are probably missing the packs that they used to make the house especially if you only own the base game. The houses tell you/ show you what packs were used and if you don't have any try going and unchecking all those boxes when looking for a downloadable lot or house

I did it many years with The sims 3 and there everything was ok.. till yesterday when I buy The sims 4, I tried it with 3 different houses from this server and game still warning me on this and they deleted all furnutire and everything... it looks completely different than on thesimssourse.com... it seems to me like they (developers) blocked this functions..(unnoficial downloads).. I dont know really. :////.. I am angry with this :-D

@@NiNa-nn3bm yes you can but the home will be missing things from it if you do not own all the packs they used to build it. Therefore I suggest on the side when you are on the gallery to u check what packs you do not have so it won’t be a drastic change when you download the house

It may be because you didnt put the tray files in the right folder

@@taligoals7597 do you have the new legacy update cause I switched over from console to Mac and when I downloaded Sims 4 and it was automatically the Legacy Edition, and it says we can't download stuff from the community tab, and as far as putting stuff in my tray folder it doesn't work or show up either.

i had the same problem. u can’t put the entire folder into the tray section like u do for mods. u have to put the stuff that’s inside the folder into the tray section. i hope u understand wa i’m trying to say, if not watch her video carefully n do exactly wa she does.

Do you need certain packs to load up houses with cc? Cause every time I download a house with all its cc, it gives me an error in game that the things that were placed in the lot didn't load and were replaced.

You have to make sure you downloaded everything you were supposed to for one and then i definitely say check the lot when you are in your library it always tells you what packs wee used to make that lot

you have to press continue game with the sim you already created. Then go on manage worlds, then use the steps you'd normally use when building a house but click the gallery icon on the top of the screen instead. Then from there you should be able to pick the cc house and add it to the lot you want.

Yup your sim will be able to live in that house as normal as if it was a base game house

no if you did it right you should see it in you library if you toggle on custom content

Maybe the door is broken now so i would recommend changing the door or something may be blocking it
