I am not a mechanic, and thanks to this video I was able to save myself several hundred dollars by doing this job myself in about 4 hours. I have never tried to do anything like this before. Thank you for the post. I used this to video to change the fuel pump in my 2006 Chrysler Town & Country. I did it without a lift, and I did it by myself. It would have been easier if I had a second set of hands, or it I had a lift. All in all it was not as difficult as I thought it would be. I just followed the steps in the video. I ordered the part from ChryslerPartsDirect.com and I feel like I got a good deal. I don't work for them, so I don't care if you use them, but I did get a good price (better than any local price), and I they shipped the part to my house in a few days. One tip if you are doing this by yourself. A couple of tips: I siphoned the gas into a large, clean oil drip pan that had a spout on one end. I trained the gas until the drip pan was about 2/3 full and then emptied it into another one of my vehicles. I repeated until the tank was almost empty. I had to siphon from the part of the tank that connects to the hose which goes up to the fuel cap (where you normally put fuel in the vehicle). I think its the first thing he disconnects in the video. Because I did this myself, I used my jack and a small piece of sheet metal under the tank. I placed the sheet metal between my jack and the fuel tank and then jacked it up in place. Made it much easier than trying to lift it, hold it in place, and try to screw nuts which hold the straps in place. SAFETY TIP: Don't forget to disconnect the battery before you do this job.

i did this on my 2005 town and country...not to bad, the only problem i had it was the the gas line got some air pressure after I changed fuel pump but fixed it ,pulled off lock on gas line before fuel injectors and release all air out with key ON position till air completely out...now works great....Thanks for video it was easy with this instructions

Adam Hall The video is correct. Anytime you want to disconnect the battery, the negative terminal should be the first disconnected and the last to be connected. If you just want to disconnect as in this video, the negative should be removed. I'm putting this out here so that someone does not follow your advice. The reason for working with the negative terminal is simple. If your wrench touches ground while removing the negative terminal nothing happens. If your wrench touches ground while removing the positve terminal you will at minimun get a lot of sparks, could ruin your wrench and worst case blow up the battery. ALWAYS remove negative first.

I thought this was a very useful video. Question, what causes a fuel pump to normally fail? Low gasoline level causing pump to work hard? Dirty gas or tank?

My 2006 has been leaking gas from somewhere above the gas tank for a couple of days now. It only starts to leak when i start the engine. I want to take it to a mechanic but I just don't have the money. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

Hi, did anybody hear about larger fuel tanks installed for Chrysler Voyager or Dodge Caravan? I heard that 54 gallon tanks are exist for that cars and I looking for them. Please reply here if you know something

I did all that now I'm having issues with fill up. the van runs great, but when at the pump after about 1 gal of gas it acts like it full and it sashes back. I have taken the tank out 2 times, all the lines including the vent are open. can't find any pinched lines. what else is there. this did not happen till after I changed the fule pump. thanks

I thought this was a great and helpful video, but I do not agree with one step that you said to do. I am an ASE certified mechanic myself, and as a rule of thumb I never take the NEGATIVE battery terminal off when working on a vehicle, I remove the POSITIVE. The negative cable end could easily touch the retaining bolt of the battery or fall back to the negative terminal and create a connection again. The positive will not create a connection unless it touches the positive post again.

So the 2004's and newers don't have a fuel filter? I am about to change my 2003's and looks like it does but I have people saying I don't.

Where's the fuel filter???
