Just a quick video with explanation on how to install the different game launchers easily through Asus Rog Ally Armory Crate. For experienced users, this will be straight forward. This is more intended for those new to PC Gaming and Armory Crate.

I just got my ally! So sick but i am pretty new to this.. i want apex, overwatch and fortnite. On my steam i do have a bunch of games so I'll definitely doenload that launchers. Great vid i subscribed

I’m new to this, just got my rog. Damn $700. Best Buy Canada. I want to play gta 5 and some other PlayStation games. I don’t have a pa4 or 5. Use to be a big gamer. Stop playing in the 360 and pa4 time. But thought your video woulda shown how to get some PlayStation games. The only games I played on Xbox was halo 4 and splinter cell games. And I want those too. Please help just got Rog Ally yesterday and got nothing but trouble I can't get any games to work right Xbox games keep crashing every single time I open it and steam game can't get the controller to work in games keep thinking I'm using mouse and keyboard so it not letting me do anything with the build in contoller in game

Are we able to change the small icons (such as burnout, Diablo 4 on your unit) to a larger and better picture to match the launcher? If so, could you do a tutorial on how.

There is a way, but I haven't delved into it in detail yet. That's a good idea, I may try to do that after work and put a video out on it as long as I can get it working.

Any with a 30w issue that seems to turn off at random then drop down to performance mode for a bit or have to quit outta the game ? To get it to go back into 30w mode an no I’m not playing my games no higher than medium

This device will only play PC games. If you have Gamepass Ultimate it allows you to play certain games on both Xbox and PC. If you bought games on Xbox, some may allow playing on PC as well. In this case it seems like only one you have is available.

There is an offical PS Remote Play app that only supports wired PS4/5 controllers hooked up. There is another non PS app called Chiaki. I actually read that someone had gotten the PS Remote App to work using a 3rd party app. I plan to test it and I might make a video on it.

There is a Windows PS5 remote play app but you have to plug in a wired ps5 controller to use it unfortunately. There are workarounds like using Chiaki, but its not simple.

So I have Xbox Ultimate through my series X, i bought this device, signed in to Xbox app on it, I try to download a game from the game pass on it and it won’t start downloading, just says 0%, am I doing something wrong?

I seem to remember having to possible uninstall/reinstall the Xbox app before. Also make sure your drive is selected. If you are installing to a slow MicroSD card it may not install or it could take a long time. Make sure if MicroSD that it is U3/A2.

Any games you own on PC (Or have on Gamepass) will work on the Rog Ally as it is basically a mini Windows PC.

Whenever I try to download and purchase games from Steam it keeps saying the Steam client is out of date. I go to the menu and check for updates and it says up to date. Extremely frustrated that I now own a $700 paperweight.

From what I can tell, it seems only M1/M2 can be mapped as a secondary function. No other button can be mapped as M1/M2.

You can only play PC games on here. Some XBOX games work on both Xbox and PC though. If you have Game Pass Ultimate you can play those games on both PC and Xbox.

I haven't testing it, but there is a setting called Offline Permissions Enabled under the general settings in the Xbox app. It may not work with all games, but worth a try.

I don't, I've instilled Epic on my Ally, but it only works in a desktop format, maybe that's the only way it works, but I still wanna know why the Epic launcher is not under "Game Platforms" haha

Seems you have to use the Amazon App Store or there are guides on how to load the Google Play Store as well. It is not supported by default.

Is the games on each platform limited to what you can buy or the same as what you’d get in their stores via desktop

Its the same as the desktop. Some games can be purchased on multiple platforms, while some only exist on a single platform. I will warn that not all games work with a gamepad. Steam should show their gamepad support with each game if you want to be safe when buying.
