How did you go with the readings on your Garmin ???? I’ve recently put mine in and the readings are getting delayed and the depth in the top left hand corner is flashing like it’s on pause mode then eventually fixing itself up I wondered if drilling more holes on the cover will help this solution for constant live readings ????

I did not have any issues. I also do not believe any more hole will improve it. You may have other issues, maybe check to be sure there are no kinks in your cable. Hope this helps...

Nick, side scan does not work mounted into the kayak. I have since moved the transducer to an arm.

@@nickrizzo96 i used the ram mount. After figuring cost for comparable diy it was very close, so I decided to purchase one instead.
