This is the single greatest video I've ever watched on doing anything ever. The tutorial is so easy to follow so clean and unrushed. It's so simple yet so in-depth and complex. I just finished downloading a ton of mods to my PC and I don't think I've ever had more fun playing a game before.

Watched this 5 months ago to install add-on cars, today I wanted to install an OIV and didn't want to replace any files like back in the day. Nope! Turns out that you can choose to put it in mods. And I always had this "what is gameconfig and heapadjuster? and "which one do I get?". But coming back I saw that he covers that too! This video is honestly the best guide on modding GTA 5, period. All you need is here, and the demonstrations he does after each step give it an extra gear.

2:48 correction: it also works for pirated version because apparently all you need to do for it if it doesn't find the encryption key is to close it, refresh the file location of the game, open it again and I'll work so i dont think it truly looks or cares about if you have an encryption key or not

First of all, GREAT VIDEO! Sometimes it DOES make more sense to replace a vehicle rather than add one and doesn't always mean the developer didn't know how to add one. For example, if you want the game to feature the police vehicles existing in your country, it makes more sense to have those replace the Rockstar police vehicles rather than have two different types of police vehicles driving around. Furthermore, in this example the police would actually be driving the new vehicles instead of it just being a vehicle the player can recall and weirdly mix in with a totally different type of police vehicle. Same goes for taxis, ambulance and any other specific service vehicles that are driven by NPSs.

I really wish more modders would use the .oiv format. It makes the install easier than putting Broiler Bites in the oven.

for anyones minyoo not working when pressing F8 - i had to install scripthookV from the actual website - and then I dragged the 3 files from the BIN folder directly into the GTA v download directory, and it worked.

i did this so many times i just watch this video for moral support

This video is the only video you'll ever need even through light troubleshooting, this video will be your best reference. I just wanna mention anyone who might have a infinite loading screen for sp or crashes and absolutely nothing is working deleting your rockstar save is a good way to restart everything instead of re-downloading the game (make backups tho and move your scripts). only thing that might not of been mentioned, pristine video either way

Ok I downloaded the Heap and packet and the game config and I literally only have one add on car installed and it still crashes.

This is probably the best step by step guide for adding cars, even a dum dum like me managed to follow this, I just can’t seem to get the vehicle mods to work once installed 🤦🏻‍♂️

I put the mod file into open.iv and loaded into GTA 5 and F8 did not work any ideas how to fix it

Pressing F8 then i got this messsage "You are attepting to access GTA online servers...."

Here is a solution I found to the f8 problem: 1. I forgot to move the scripthook files into the gta 5 folder 2. Once I moved the scriptkook files to the gta 5 folder, it worked for me. 3. Also change the keybind for f8 to some other key in the settings since the f8 key is automatically the key that opens gta online. I changed the gta online key to f12 from f8.

Watched like 4 videos on modding gta5. I have modded fallout/skrim/oblivion + about 10 other games without major problems. But this dude was the only one to actually "show" the actual way to mod this game and what you need and deal with simple problems.

Rockstar Developers have said that you WILL NOT be banned from online play for using SINGLE PLAYER MODS!! Skin mods and car colour mods are fine, Any mods that enhance the players abilities and give an unfair advantage over the whole sessions players then you will be kicked and banned
