- Preparation of the shower drain steps
Well prepared, install RainDrain Flex without any problems. The overview shows the tools and aids needed, such as a gauge and pencil for marking, level and drill, screwdriver, trowel and putty knife, as well as sealing and caulking material. The installation instructions will help you in your work.
- The universal uBox for the installation of RainDrain Flex
The installation of RainDrain Flex includes the universal uBox (basic set), which we show you in the following section of the application possibilities. Adapt the hidden drain technology for the connection to the shower channel entirely according to the requirements of the site. The bathtub drain, which connects the siphon to the channel, consists of several parts. They are used to adjust the height for installation at floor level, the desired alignment for the drain and the optimal sealing.
- Place the RainDrain Flex bath siphon with the basic set.
Follow the installation instructions in another step: how to fit the bathtub drain with the shower trap. Pay special attention to the height of the upper edge of the RainDrain system, flush with tiles or another shower floor, and measure the required slope. When the universal uBox with bathroom siphon is fixed to the concrete floor, the drain is connected to the selected side.
- Mounted on the wall or standing
The RainDrain Flex installation can be wall-mounted or freestanding. You have the option of connecting the drain pipe to the siphon on three sides. We'll show you how to line up the shower drain with the water level and mark the points for screwing on the basic assembly. After connecting the pipe, open the two-piece sealing fleece that covered the bathroom siphon until now and check the tightness of the shower drain with water. If everything is in order, they close the bathtub drain and replace the green construction protection cap.
- Pour the rule and seal everything
In the next step of the hansgrohe RainDrain Flex installation, pour the screed up to the top of the construction protection plug that closes the shower trap. The safety cover, which protects the bath siphon from contamination, is removed after the screed has hardened. To do this, cut along the edge, e.g. with a spatula, and remove the protective cap. Below you will see the RainDrain Flex sealing fleece, which can be deployed. After all, the surface of the shower must be watertight to prevent damage.
- Adjust hansgeohe RainDrain Flex in place
The RainDrain Flex cover can be shortened on site according to customer conditions and wishes. This allows you to optimally adapt the shower channel to the architecture of the bathroom.
- Height regulation of the shower channel
RainDrain Flex rests on the screed and is fixed with tile adhesive. The simple adaptability of the shower channel makes it easy for you to align the design cover with the surrounding level.
- Seal together and introduce siphon
Almost done: the shower channel fits and only needs to be sealed at the adjacent floor joints, e.g. with silicone Then insert the desired siphon or Dryphon (with increased capacity) and the showering pleasure begins.
