However I will show the how to install Led steering wheel part or installing a custom steering wheel. I have the same problem it says matching and it doesn’t work did you connect the smart box wire to any of the fuses to get power for the smart box. Help please!!!!

Interesting. The steering wheel should only have data for radio controls and cruise control. The suspension wrrors usually come from not having the KW bypass modules when switching to airride/coilovers. The esp i always understood as a traction control data. I suppose its possible the data box installed in the OBD could be faulty. Maybe bad firmaware. But the actual steering wheel shouldn't have effect those sensors.

Are your turning lights and warning lights showing up on the steering wheel? I did it like you but I took ground on ground cable and not on the screw cause I got ground issues on the screw and my display was turning on and off many times but now ist stable Hope you can help me with the turning and warning signals problem Thx

No. Mine is solid as can be. Ive seen other where their wore inside the wheel is knicked and broken.

I think that these wheels are very nice but I have no need for lap timers or RPM indicators. What I would like is a beautiful wheel with just turn signal indicators because the dash indicators are hidden behind the wheel in any comfortable position. I wrote 4 custom wheel makers and they are not interested in making that custom wheel. I need a customizer that still does custom work.

On the sides, they match the RMS. And for some vehicles are also turn signal indicators.

I installed my wheel today but now my wheel isn’t straight anymore . I think I may have moved the piece attached to the steering column by mistake . Any suggestions?

Hey, I have a carbon led steering wheel for my mk 7 golf and I can't seem to find where to get power from. I actually managed to short something when looking for the 12v and now my car had to get towed to VW as it lost all power to the ignition and instrument cluster. No idea how long it will take them to find the issue or how much it will cost to fix. I have asked some local garages would they install the steering wheel and none of them will do it.

If you have steering wheel controls, then you have pwr right there. Its an extremely low amperage draw. So a tap into that wire should be just fine. Your just going to need to use your meter to sort that.

@@myonlinecarguy1 Tried that mate, was using my multimeter and I must have shorted something. My car was toed by VW, still waiting for them to tell me what damage is done. No power ot the ignition or to the instrument cluster.

Thats odd. Because nothing inside the steering wheel is connected to ignition. Only radio maybe cruise control. And horn.

@@myonlinecarguy1 I know, it was the wire going into the volume control for the radio......car is totally dead even though the battery is fully charged. No idea what VW are going to tell me is wrong.

Well hopefully its just a bcm fuse or something, and you are able to get back working in the car soon.
