This is a detailed video of SSD & RAM installation.
I have installed (250 Gb Nvme SSD - WD black ) & ( 8Gb RAM - Crucial ) in my laptop HP Pavillion 15 CS 1052 tx.
🛑First, you need to check which SSD is suitable for your laptop, and for that you need to follow few steps to confirm that.
- Physical confirmation
- Check the specification of laptop on website
- Ask customer care
- Check-in Service / Maintainance manual. ( Download from the internet )
- Check on the website like- crucial. they give suggestions for every laptop.
- Check a software name- HWiNFO

Thanks. Very helpful video. I have 2 questions. 1. Laptop comes with a licence window..Now when you install new window in ssd and format older one. This new window? Will it work on same licence (after logging in with same old account). Will it have lifetime validity. 2.What about drivers, If I download them from HP's website and install them manually. Will it work? Mine is AMD ryzen processor. I am concerned about graphic driver mainly.. Please clear my doubt so that I can go ahead with the ssd installation. Thanks a lot in advance!

Hi sir, I opened my laptop to see if it has ssd m.2 slot and ther is m.2 slot with single notch, however I am unable to determine if it supports nvme or just sata m.2, I researched online still was unable to find it, could you please make a video on how to check if the bios supports nvme and how to determine if the single notch m.2 slot supports sata m.2 or nvme, thanks in advance.

Hi I have multiple doubts 1. In Task Manager, I can see there are 2 slots out of which 1 is in use for RAM. But when I checked the motherboard, I could see only 1 slot - 4 GB. I remove that RAM and tried to turn on the laptop but it didn't start. So I got confirmed only 1 slot is available. Can you help me on this? 2. I checked the version of PCIe and it's 2. As per the mention in video, m.2 SSD will support version 3 and more. Can you just me, which 1 should I select where I can have both HDD as well as SSD? Laptop details: Asus VivoBook X415MA 10th Gen Pentium 4 Quad Core processor

As suggested by you I tried two methods to chk the SSD compatibility...But got two different results.....Crucial scan suggests that my laptop support NVMe SSD. But HWiFO shows that none of the port is free. My laptop model is HP PAVILION 15 130CCtx. It is with 8th generation i5 intel processor. Now only u can help me.

what about heat sink for the ssd and any bios config changes?

SSDs produce very little heat even under heavy load, so no need for heat sink, no BIOS config needed, just when you install the SSD make sure to format it to NTFS file system.
