Wrong and hard way. No need of removing anything from prefilter. The company also provide a spanner for open the prefilter jar and you can open it with that spanner.then,you can put the spun

He did it right! I tried mine opening with that spanner but the lid wasn’t moving probably bcoz of the minerals from the hard water over an year. This looks at least an year older. Had to use this technique to open it.

there is always one easier way and one right way of doing things, using screw driver to open the top definitely gives mechanical advantage but damages that hole over the time, always use spanner and suggest the mechanic to use it while service

Sir, I have an important question. The water in our area is soft/sweet water. We have an RO Machine. Now considering these two facts, is it really necessary to have an external filter? Will not having the external filter damage my machine's internal filters BEFORE one year? Or will it last a year? I change the internal filters every year anyway. So if I don't spent extra on external filters now, and instead run the RO machine directly with brand new internal filters that I will change after one year, will it be a wise decision? The water in our area is soft and sweet.

If water in your area is soft and sweet than you don't need ro purifier you just need a ultra violet+ ultra filtration purifier with external pre filter.

RO systems should always have a pre-filter. The way RO membranes work requires a ton of microscopic holes which will plug up with invisible debris if you don't filter the water before it enters the system. :( The RO system will filter those things out, but it will degrade your membranes much more quickly, likely before 1 year.

Aap teflon tape lagaye phir tight kijiye upar ke cap ko. Phir bilkul leek nahi karega. Teflon tape kisi bhi hardware store par 20Rs. mein mil jayega. Thanks !!
