Out of all the videos I’ve watched this video is the clearest and easiest to understand, I’ve ordered all the parts you have even though the speaker bracket is now 45$ and hopefully this will go smoothly

This is so unprofessional; I'm looking for guys that can actually tell me how not to f it up, like I already did. Looks like you had many of the same problems I did. I did not go out and get an angle driver; I guess I need one though. Thanks for the tip. As far as sealing, that looks good; but you didn't try to muffle any resonance, or seal the back speakers to the back deck. I needed help with the back; you guys completely gloss over it...

Just a heads up to people that are trying to Upe grade speakers in the door. I had a problem of once speakers were in the door and screwed in they would cut off and my double din would say amp error. So I zip tied the harness adapters to the speaker it’s self and solved problem.

On 2003-2008 Accord the top mounting point is actually a clip rather than a screw from factory. So am I right that you are just using the washer to help to secure the mount onto the hole where the clip was supposed to go?

Yes! The new mounting adapter plate is held in by nuts and bolts rather than clips. Great question!

No i didn't. And I'm still able to get plenty of volume out of them. It might benefit by having one to reduce amplifier distortion at higher levels. I do have to turn up the head unit quite a bit lol

Question, the mounting brackets that came with the JBL didn’t work on the front doors?

Ours did not come with any mounting brackets. The front speakers will hit the window if you don't use a bracket or spacer similar to what we used.

It's definitely not 100% necessary, but it makes the install much easier and very plug and play.

What size speaker fits in the 2003 model

The rear deck speakers are 6x9 inch and the front door speakers are 6.5 inch. However the fronts require an adapter plate as we showed in the video.

Are the passenger door speakers the same size at the front door speakers?

Not 100% sure what you are asking, but there are no speakers in the rear doors. Both of the front door speakers are the same size.

The car in the video is a 2003 Accord EX-L four door sedan. There are no speakers in the rear doors (if thats what you're asking)

Check that the master switch on the front drivers door is plugged in all the way. It controls all of that stuff.

No but they would probably perform better or be much louder with one!

Did you notice a big difference after upgrading the speakers?

The sound is definitely clearer and can be listened to at a higher volume with less distortion. I bass is clearer but not quite as heavy as with the factory speakers, but I've considered adding a small sub. But I like a lot of bass so this might depend on your preference. Overall it was worth the upgrade.

I believe the foam rings we installed actually came with the speakers we used. It's been a while since we did it so I might not be remembering correctly.
