Transcript:
Today we are going to talk about installing the Bio Bidet Bliss BB-2000 Bidet Seat. My name is Daniel Johnson, your bidet expert and owner of ManybBdets.com, where we've sold over 10,000 bidets in the last eight years.
For starters, when we're going to install a seat, we need to make sure that we drain the water from the tank of the existing toilet. In order to do that, we need to turn off the water supply. Have something to absorb some of this water for here in a minute, but we're going to go ahead and drain the tank. We hold down on this flush lever, until we hear no more water dripping.
Now that we've gotten that done, we can go ahead and start the installation process. We're going to go ahead and put the mounting plate up here. It's important to note that there is a tab in the back. This tab is what stops the bidet seat from sliding in further than it should, so that tab goes in the back. If you have the mounting plate on like this, you have it on backwards, just a heads up. We're going to go ahead and put it on with the tab in the back. Now we're going to install these little metal rectangular washers. These allow you to have multiple width settings. If you have a toilet that has a less than common bolt spread, the bidet can still mount on it with those extra wide washers. Now we're going to put the bolts through these washers. The ridges on the washer are face up, so if you have the washers in like this, you have them upside down. The ridges should face up, because when the bolt goes through, the bolt is going to rest between those ridges. Then we're going to put these rubber washers on the bottom side, thin side up, wide side down. The wide side is going to press against this nut. The thin side is going to grip the porcelain, on the bottom side of the toilet. Now we don't have to make this overly tight just yet. We can leave it a little bit loose, because once we install the bidet seat; we'll want to be able to adjust the bidet seat to get the perfect position, before tightening down all the way. All right, so that's somewhat snug. Now we're going to go ahead and grab our bidet seat. We have this piece here with a couple of grooves in either side, those grooves slide into this part of the mounting plate. Then we have this button, which moves the hooks here on the bottom. Those hooks clamp into these spots here and basically hold the seat in place. We also want to make sure that we're removing this blue packing tape, before installing.
Now we can go ahead and slide the seat on. We want to line this up. If you feel like it is not resting level, you're probably looking at a scenario where it's not properly lined up with the mounting plate. Once it is, just push it back and we can hear it snap into place. Now that it snapped into place, we can see that the front is overhanging a little bit. I'm going to go ahead and loosen up this mounting plate a little bit, slide the seat back and that is much better up here in the front. Now we're going to go ahead and tighten the mounting plate down again and we're good to go there.
We've got the mounting plate installed, we've got the seat firmly on the toilet. Now it's time to disconnect the water supply here. Remember, we've already drained the water tank, we've already turned off the water supply, so while there's going to be some water here it should be pretty minimal. We have something to catch the water that falls...
00:00 Introduction
00:23 Step #1 - Drain the Tank
00:53 Step#2 - Install Mounting Plate
03:36 Step#3 - Slide Seat into Mounting Plate
04:28 Step#4 - Connect Water Supply
07:15 Step#5 - Check for Leaks
07:52 Remote Preparation
08:34 Testing the Seat
10:53 Closing Statement

Good video. Make sure if you use the elbow, that you screw it on squarely and do not cross thread. It’s plastic on plastic so if you tighten it, you can easily chew up the plastic male end attached to the seat. The only piece that I had to use a wrench on was the supply hose to the elbow. I had a leak there and hand tightening was not enough. As stated, just don’t overtighten too much.

Thanks for the kind words! Some you can use, and others may be problematic. You'll want one where the bar does not go along the back, as it will get in the way of attaching the seat. Hello Daniel, Great video! What to do when the water is not warming up. All of the sudden it happened together with oscillating is weaker too. Can you help?
@ManyBidets
@ManyBidets Жыл бұрын
Normally when we see something like this, it's because of restricted water flow to the water heater... This can be due to mineral buildup in the seat, a pinched or kinked hose, or a large particle that somehow made it into the seat. Normally in these situations, it makes the most sense to send it in for repair. If you purchased from us, please email us with your order number, and we'd be happy to file a warranty claim with Bio Bidet on your behalf.

Nice instructional video it would be better to install a T-connector that includes a shut off valve for the bidet. Then when you need to replace the Bidet you can shut the Bidet off while the toilet still receives water. Also a non-bursting water line connected to the Bidet would be better.

Does the elbow come with the BB-2000 you talk about at the 6:35 part of the video? If not, do you know where I can order it? Also, I have an Gerbit in-wall toilet. So I think I would have an issue with the T they use (as obviously I can't run the water supply line in the wall like that). I would have to come straight from the 3/8" shutoff to the elbow. It looks like both sides are 1/2" I stopped by Home Depot and did not see a reducer. Any suggestions on where I can find the right reducer as I don't understand the FIP, OD, and all those other abbreviations I saw.

Thanks for the questions Bob. It does come with a L connector talked about at that point in the video. I was only sharing that you don't need to use it if you don't want to (but most people decide to use it) We do have an alt T connector that will connect to the water supply: www.manybidets.com/product/bidet-t-valve-for-skirted-toilet/ since the water supply is probably in the wall, you won't need the off-shoot of the T connector. If that's the case, you could always cap the end you don't use. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns!

No need to have anything connected to a hot water line! It heats the water in the seat itself. You connect it to the cold water line that leads to the toilet using the provided T (as shown in the video) and as long as you have an outlet to plug it into, the seat does the rest! I'm looking at the American standard elongated sonoma or the American standard elongated edgemere thanks

@ManyBidets 3 жыл бұрын
The BB-2000 would work with both of those American Standard toilets! The BB-2000 has and elongated option so that should be no problem. You can talk to our customer service team to get more questions answered, and to get special discounts on the BB-2000. www.manybidets.com/product/bb-2000-bliss-bidet-seat/

Why the water is always running? Is it normal?
@ManyBidets
@ManyBidets Жыл бұрын
Always running through the seat, or into the toilet tank? through the seat 24/7 is not normal and indicates that there's either a leak in the seat somewhere or the solenoid has gone bad. A toilet tank always running is totally different and should be investigated by a plumber or handyman locally.

I wonder if I have the same issue. I have a Brondell SE600 and the spray seems fuller and better. The BB 2000 I have seems to have limited spray and the spray makes a lot of noise. The spray does not seem right in my case as well…

I'd love to see one installed on a bowl wit h. blind holes. I've tigj htened fully from the top into the expanding rubber thing and it's solid... Until i try to slide the seat on. I've put silicone grease on, put some line-up marks on the back with a Sharpie. I can't line up, and when i push it just moves the plate. Had no problem with old Samsung wit IDENTICAL fittings, removing for cleaning, and replacing. Any ideas anyone?

Are you able to use standard bolts instead of a top mounting kit? Top mounting kits often have that issue, but with a standard bolt assembly, you can tighten the seat down after sliding it into place.

is the water warm?
@ManyBidets
@ManyBidets 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, it heats the water in the seat itself, so you only need a cold water connection and the seat takes care of the rest!

No thread tape?
@ManyBidets
@ManyBidets 2 жыл бұрын
Nope! Because of the rubber washers in each of the fittings, teflon tape is not needed. A little plumbers tape is OK, but the most common reason we see leaking in bidets is from the overuse of tape, so manufactures tend to recommend none be used at all since it's not needed to make a good seal in the first place.

Are they all cold water
@ManyBidets
@ManyBidets 2 жыл бұрын
Most of what we sell are warm water including this one (the Bio Bidet BB-2000) They have water heaters built into them, so you can connect them to cold water only, but still have warm water washes. This does mean they require electricity to operate

Valid point! If you don’t already have an outlet near the toilet, that can be a pain. You can also run an extension cord if needed.
