Here's a rundown on my method of installing the latest Samsung Frame TV above a fireplace. I'll also show you how I place my recess box behind the TV to accommodate the Samsung One Connect Box, as well as how to route power to the recess box. I hope this guide is helpful if you're attempting to install your Samsung Frame TV. Feel free to reach out with any questions or comments.

have thought about using a long flex bit instead of making extra holes in the drywall ?

Yes, however - sometimes there’s electrical wiring pinned the studs. You can easily puncture causing a massive issue. So, I caution on the side of error and check for that at each location.

Does the one connect box get very warm? Do you happen to know if the one connect box needs to be power cycled often?

From my experience, in having a frame TV myself - it doesn’t get hot. It’s well ventilated and as long as it sits in a 17” box (when inside of the wall) it will be fine. The frame TV itself is also ventilated.

how about installing the Frame TV to a stereo amplifier? I'm considering a 55" Samsung Frame TV but am reluctant now because I've been using my current Sony Bravia with a Peachtree Nova stereo amplifier to produce theater sound and to drive my KEF speakers.

You can still pump your sound out from the One Connect Box (comes with the Frame TV). The One Connect Box will have 2 Audio Outputs (Digital Optical & HDMI-ARC). More than likely, the Digital Optical is what you’ll use to push sound from the Frame to your Amplifier

Why does my samsung frame tv have a gap on top, its a lill tilted downward and I cannot get it to become flat and stuck to the wall. Any advise on how to achieve this?

This is typical. You have to, gently, pull down on the TV so that the bracket snaps into the locking position. You must do this on both sides. The tv will then sit flush to the magnets on the bracket, resulting in it being flat on the wall. Hopefully this works for you

What if you want to install a Samsung Soundbar S800b?

You can still install it below the TV. I would’ve created another path for the HDMI and power to sit inside of the in-wall box. Even if the soundbar were to sit on the mantle. That way it’s clean.
