Hey Doug. OG from back in the Amplified days. If you could make these flush mount into the walls with a hardwire 120v USB with audio out connection this could revolutionize the home automation world. It would put control for monitors to bed. We add this panel based home automation to all of our homes in SWFLA. I have some ideas and many high end installer connections.

not addressing the sound, but POE adapter fits the bill without having to pull in a licensed electrician. I have a few wall mounts at my house and just home run some cat6 to my POE switch

I have over 20 years experience, live close to you in the Bay Area, and would be able to help you design different applications for this. Retro construction type, new construction hard wired versions for charging abilities , also abilities like hard wired into alarm, fire, sound entertainment. A smart home app could be a great addition down the road.
