In this step by step tutorial Matt Wuerdeman founder of The Gremlin Wiring Kit (formally known as The Sportster Treatment kit) walks you through how to remove the stock wiring harness and install his wiring kit on a 1998-2003 Harley-Davidson Sportster. This kit eliminates most wires, handlebar controls, unneeded sensors, and relays on a stock Sportster. The wiring harness that comes with the kit contains all connectors already installed and can be customized based on where the key switch is mounted. This kit was designed so that anyone can install it and with the help of this video we know you can get your bike wired up easily and quickly.

Oh sweet! Ive been looking for something like this for a long time! In fact my 2003 Sportster has been on my motorcycle lift collecting dust for over a year now with a wiring problem and no direction however this kit solves that problem. Its about time you something like this! You guys are awesome!

Do you have a similar kit for say iron heads I have a 77 + 85 I want to hardtail Springer front end minimum wires I'll run most through the frame but I open a headlight bucket and it is insanity right now I just want to know if you have a kit that will narrow the harness down to the Bare Essentials such as headlight starter button you know what I'm trying to do just want to know if there's something I can just plug in an eliminate a lot of nonsense

Mr. Anderson the key switch that comes with it. This kit relocates the key. Shows this in the video

I'm having an issue as well, but I have the Screamin Eagle race module. It has an led on it thats supposed to light up indicating a "ready status" and it's not lighting up at all. 🤔

with this kit looks like your key starts the bike, you could install a kill switch with a toggle switch and use a push button to start instead

No the hand controls are tossed. You need a chopper throttle kit if you use this harness

My nephew just bought a sportster for his wife this mod was done to can’t find the parts to restore it back so don’t trash the parts because remember it’s a sportster you’re probably not gonna keep it.

Yes it all runs of the main circuit breaker. The bike is still protected

Would you use this kit if your bike was 97 as the other kit is 94 too 96

Wish I could see the bike with it installed. Aren't bikes supposed to have turn signals tho? Or is this something like, "LSD is illegal but morning glory seeds are ok ::winkwinknudgenudge::"

Depends on your local laws. In my state no turn signals are required but if you don’t have any it says “use hand signals”

@@ilovecarnitas if u order it just make sure u get the one that matches ur year make of bike. I was honestly scared af that I would screw it up..but it comes with pictures and directions and they also have the video, I installed it. What year do u have?

Clean up the bars, delete turn signals, delete neutral lights, Speedo etc.. also these work great for our chopper frames. Because choppers

This kit ditches all indicators and gauges. All you'll have is a key to crank it and a toggle for bright/dim headlight and a brake light. That is all you'll get.

It’s a sportster…. Until you chop the frame and/or increase the rake… it’s a sportster… that when you sell it and you will is gonna be a headache for the poor SOB who doesn’t know better buys it. If you want to make a chopper eliminate the starter also (kick only), foot clutch/jockey shift…

Some jackass decided this was a good idea to do to the bike that I bought for my wife as a starter bike and now we have no turn signals whatsoever or speedo with idiot lights. Folks, if your bike is manufactured after 1973 by law your required to have turn signals. Now I have to undo this pointless delete kit and buy an entire stock harness….
