How To install the Throttle Spring on the Yamaha TW200

If you have removed the throttle pulley and spring on your TW200, you will most likely find it difficult to figure out how it goes back together. I remember when I first pulled it off, it took me forever to figure it out and the shop manual gave no help. In this video I show you how to properly install the pulley and spring so the throttle will snap back like it's supposed too. Thanks for watching!

Another great video. You do such an excellent job of explaining, and demonstrating, these small details. I haven't had that throttle spring off, but I have certainly puzzled over many other springs trying to figure out how the heck they go on. Oh, and thanks for explaining about the two throttle cables ... I was wondering about that just lately.

So I think I lost that plastic washer bad boy. Whoops! I twisted the spring back-on without any washer-it was super difficult (I have done it twice). I don't remember ever seeing it (I also didn't know to look for it). It likely popped off. The throttle still seems to be springing back without an issue though. I can't say I have ever really noticed any major issues. I haven't found a replacement for that single part. Looks like you've gotta purchase an entire carb to get one. Hopefully I'll find something. This video definitely would've helped :) Thanks for the post man. This stuff is great.

@@TDubsKid I bought it NEW, so if it wasn't there, the dealer forgot it ... which seems unlikely. I probably just didn't notice it :( Ah well. I do have a Chinese aftermarket carb and I tried using the one from that; however, the aftermarket is actually 14mm, not 13mm. I'm good to go now though, as I did find a replacement on eBay from an older TW. Installed it Wednesday, and I can definitely tell a difference in the throttle smoothness/response. It certainly works without, but works better with.
