In this video, I have shown how to dual boot your OnePlus 6/6T devices with windows 11.
DISCLAIMER:-
Before we get started, I want to give a quick disclaimer. This is a relatively advanced procedure, and it's important to note that there is always a risk of bricking your device. If you're not comfortable with the steps involved, or if you're not willing to risk bricking your device, then I recommend not proceeding.
NOTE :- In the video, I've only covered partitions specifically designed for users with 128GB models.

I may be missing something but ive ran all the codes one by one, i have my partitions setup since my android only has 32gb, and i copied parted to the root of the phone. I ran the final command on twrp terminal but i still dont have the option to boot into uefi #3 like you do at 5:45. It just keeps running uefi shell #1 Do i need to leave the otg connected?

Did you copy the file content of 20h2pe file using the "cp" command in the twrp terminal? if not, copy that file into pe Partition using the TWRP terminal or if you have PC then on phone go to uefi boot menu ---> then scroll down to bottom and select USB Attached SCSI (UAS) Storage option and then connect you phone to your pc and copy file content of 20h2pe file into 2/3GB(approx 2.7GB) partition of your phone, that is your PE Partition.

Hi @TechyNoob1818 could you please clarify below queries 😀 1)At 4:56,you are saying after formatting,what we have to format? 2)At 5:14,we have to select inactive slot and enter fastboot mode(not reboot), but after flashing boot image, your phone screen is in recovery image at 5:41 . no instruction/sound at 5:37 please explain steps from selecting inactive slot to continue to boot option(from 5:07 to 5:55) Thanks in advance

1) Use the wipe data option of TWRP to format. 2) There are 2 slots in OnePlus 6/6T A/B so if you are on slot B then boot into slot A using fastboot command :- fastboot --set-active=a After changing the slot flash the windows boot image (UEFI image) using the fastboot command:- fastboot flash boot then you will boot into the window PE mode then follow to install the windows

@@TechyNoob1818 Thank you very much for the quick response one more query, when i use fastboot flash boot {bootimage file}, mobile(OP6T) is not booting to new screen, it is still on bootloader only.

Boot into recovery mode because windows UEFI image it acts as a recovery image. Once you have installed the windows then it will boot normally.

@@TechyNoob1818 Thanks successful till continue to boot, but it is not showing command prompt in windows like in video instead it is showing some commands screen with BLK5,BLK6 etc: Alias(5),Alias(6) etc.... press ESC in 1 second to continue, am i doing smthng wrong with format/process,pls guide

@immortalR369 if seen in video there is UEFI OS ON #2/#3 so you have to boot into #3 (PE BOOTABLE) to install the windows.

Does sim cards and wifi work with this tutorial? I saw on renegade site that you can fatally break cellular data if not doing several steps

Yes, Wi-Fi is working fine and for SIM you can only use 1 SIM. Yes for some people it brick the efs partition that means on Android or any other ROM it can't read IMEI no. So it is recommended to take the EFS/Modem partition backup before installing windows.

It is not officially available for the OnePlus 8T, but you can try searching GitHub or the XDA page because the Snapdragon 865 is supported by Project Renegade.

As I mentioned above, you'll need a PD charger if you want to charge your phone on Windows OS. There's a difference between a PD charger and a standard OnePlus Dash charger. A PD charger uses a Type-C to Type-C connection, while a standard charger uses a Type-A to Type-C connection.

Yes, but it depends on the ROM. Some ROMs are Project Renegade friendly like Pixel Experience, so you have to find that the custom ROM you want to flash is Project Renegade friendly or not.

Yes, Pixel Experience and Lineage OS 20 are supported, even rising OS A12 is also supported.

Windows 10/11 isn't causing crash dump mode, it's the driver. Reinstall the drivers and check again.

I'm using Portronics 20W charge so you can use any 5W PD charger also, because it heats a lot while charging (In windows only, on Android it doesn't heat that much) with a 20W charger. Company:- Portronics Model :- POR1238 Output :- DC 5V 3A

Yes, but It's definitely not flawless. Touch issues on Windows are a known problem, and some drivers on the OnePlus 8T have porting issues.

You have to make 2 partitions of a pendrive (for e.g. you have 16GB pendrive then you have to make 2 partitions of this pendrive first partitions will be 1GB and remaining 11/12 GB will be your 2nd partition). It is not the mandatory process as we have already made a partition on the phone so it's optional.
