An instructional video I created to show you an easy step-by-step way I have found to install screening on your porch by yourself. I hope you find this video useful. Good luck!

Was just about to call a "screen guy" to come do what you did in 10 minutes. I have a 7' x 10' piece that let go in my pool enclosure. After seeing this video, I think I'm gonna save myself some money. Thank you for sharing your work! Now - I gotta find the screen, as there isn't a Home Depot or Lowes within a 100 miles of me that have the material. Hello Amazon :-) Thanks again for posting this.

I thought this was the best youtube video avaliable on hour to rescreen a lanai. Although it was sometimes hard to hear it have me and my daughter in law the courage to tackle our 10 lanai windows. There are 5 uppers and five lowers and it tom us about 4 hours total. Thank you for this video.

Would it work to anchor the corners with small pieces of spline first and then fill in the rest of the spline?

If you want the job to take longer, sure.

are you using flat or round on this video??

How much extra screen would I need on each side. The width is 47 inches. Could I use 48 inches?

Nice job couldn’t hear very well but pretty simple wondering how much a contractor would charge for their service.

Where is the wire mesh? I see only fiberglass screen mesh.

I've gone through so many panels and can not get the screen in without ripping it. The spline will not go in easy.

Sounds like something I'd be going through. KZfaq,"Yup, easy peasy, EVERYONE CAN DO IT!!!" Me:"Got damn, MFKR, Freaking screen keeps tearing!!!! Track keeps coming down!!! Theres a gap!!!" hahaha, impending destiny.

You might have the wrong size spline. It shouldn't be a workout when you're rolling it in. Good luck!

Step one: find another video. Step two: there are many different systems available, ease of installation/ cost being the main factors, plus how hardy you want it. Year round? Pop in/out as needed? Aesthetic you want, such as simple&clean, or "custom"? Step three ;) see step one. After figuring out most to least important of above, to you. Time is money, who's paying for materials, who's paying who to install it...

you never screen top them bottom.you start with one side or the other(depending on which hand Is your dominate hand) and run that as your guide side making squares straight as possible.then you do the top side the same way.the reason for this is so when you go to pull the screen, you won't get any bubbles or loose areas.then you pull the screen on the opposite side in an outward Motion with a slight downward pull as well.then go to the bottom of the panel and pull straight down and go to the corner.i have been screening for 3 years and also own a screen company.if you have an aluminum enclosure, you need to use .315 FLAT spline but from the video is seeks as if this enclosure was built out of a lowes bought screen tight system so round spline would be proper

I am glancing on my phone here, and looks fine to picky picky me. I have always done top then bottom then sides last. I know my jobs looked pro. I'm quite MONK about everything, and was a BIT faster on even my very first.
