Every other company just makes a rear cowl pop on and off like the seat with no additional hardware. YAMAHA: hold my beer. I have an R7 and this drives me nuts. makes it dumb / pointless to keep your registration under the seat which is what i usually do on most of my bikes. GAH, the pain and cost of looking cool. haha

Right!!! Have to keep the insurance and registration in the backpack now. Yamaha wild for this 😭😭

Is it a pain to take off? I use that area to store my registration and proof of ins

Definitely, yes. All in takes about 10-15 minutes to take on and off, I keep my registration and insurance in a backpack pocket in that case. No easy way to remove it if you get pulled over.
