I've ALWAYS thought this as well. Legitimately statues need to be made of this man. But he's wise and doesn't concern himself with accolades as such and he might never bring it up, however him and his company have made an IMMENSE shift in men and relationships. If you truly understand his work he has permanently shifted consciousness for the better. At least hiis picture will be on my wall of influence. Which means nothing now.

Bro. I've followed you for years. This is the only type of video I'm super interested in from you anymore. I guess the more "spiritual" and nice-sounding stuff attracted me more in the early, more idealistic days. Having pounded the clubs sober for years now, read a couple hundred great books, traveled and been in multiple businesses, I notice myself sort of repelled from anything just meant to feel good by not digging deep (which is rampant nowadays), and attracted to the few rare sources that just go deep, nitty gritty, as real, unadulterated and gangster as it gets. Thanks for this one! Doing my third bootcamp with Derek in April.
@OwenCookSelfHelp4 жыл бұрын
Great! So here's the deal. All this B.S. I dealt with that's described in the video, IMO is because many of the actually very awesome people I dealt with, have inner issues. GREAT people, but they just have these inner issues they can't seem to conquer. So that's why I'm so focused on it. It's setting the foundation correct, so you can build upon it. Then from there you have the nitty gritty to build up. -Tyler
@asknorway4 жыл бұрын
@@OwenCookSelfHelp Absolutely. As Buffett says, the great book that needs to be written is "why smart people do dumb things." Understanding, seeing and coming to terms with that in ourselves and the people around us is the heart and soul of understanding a lot of things. And you really touched on that here. Meditation, for example, is huge IME. And I'd really give you props for, as you said, reaching down and providing solutions to those people in the trenches (me included)-but also synthesizing and building a bridge from spiritual (which is where I grew up) to more purely rational, business and unpleasant reality.

I like that Tyler doesn’t do the same old high ticket up sell funnel everyone else is doing. He does it in a way that, hopefully, he enjoys. And it does make the world better. His videos are just as valuable as a large scale charity. But as far as impact on humanity, I think they have exponentially more value. I hope the world can be opened up to these concepts one day. I do see the slow leak into mainstream society over time. All of the pua concepts eventually leak into the mainstream over about a 5-10 year span

Do you know why some videos are gone? Have been looking for them as well.
@007Influence4 жыл бұрын
@@JuicyPlams I think it's mostly due to KZfaq cracking down on loads of videos, dating advice videos being one of them. There's a feminist movement that sees all of this advice of going up to women and asking them out as harassment and unwanted sexual advancement. I think no shit, but how are men to practise getting shot down if they're never allowed to 'game' in the first place.
@spol4 жыл бұрын
'Normal' men are allowed to practice game. But I can't really blame society for being disgusted by hard-case newbs who have essentially 0 self-awareness. It just comes off as "this person is a lost cause" (though this community understands just how much people can change and that they are definitely not lost causes). As the community grew, more and more hard-cases poured in which caused Owen to have to walk on even more eggshells because anything he says could be stretched to weird places. He's handled the situation quite gracefully but sadly some content had to be sacrificed.

Someday Owen is going to be a solitary recluse living in the mountains after society turned on him and RSD, they’ll make a movie about his life and the movement and during production the actor thats going to play him will go visit him to interview him and learn about him. The actor will be so blown away by Owen and motivated by him that he not only kills the part and the movie becomes a smash hit but he becomes a self-help guru as well alongside Owen who is welcomed back into society with open arms and hailed as a returning hero. Thus dawns the second coming of RSD.

25:19 - I have been traveling the world from a job since 2012, a friend of mine came to ask me tips about moving from Portugal to Romenia, for a job. I said in a joking way - "no you don't want to do that... " later on I explained why I said that, asking 3 basic questions 1. Do you have friends there? 2. Do you have a plan B if everything fails 3. Do you have enough money to support your basic needs if if you can't get this job. She got SO UPSET with me, saying that I always put her down and I don't believe her potential. I know this girl for almost 20 years now. I replied back stating that she always wants to prove me wrong even if it she's going to get screwed in the process and how much her victim behavior had triggered me. Good thing we are good now, the job interview (on line) was really non sense and she's now trying her luck in Paris
