@mykldean

Hmmm, where I live if you don't demand it you won't get it. This town is full of people who treat others subhuman if you are for instance in the servant role. Standard practice for many. As if they are mindlessly just playing out thier narrative of abusing the help. Out of habit and because most of the help wouldn't dare talk back. I'm the help who said "I stopped because you are getting out of the car, now". If I hadn't already intellectually filleted them I'm sure they figured it out. Btw I drove with 5 out of 5 star rating the last couple years I drove, after learning allot the first couple.

Dear Rita, till you get to God the wolf will eat you alive! 😉 I’m a Christian but I always said people that put God first ,they have very limited education, vision, mind, box…what ever you want to call… we are living in the world that are so many other priorities and guides to exist. To make your self respectable has nothing to do with God…but a lot to do with your self. If you do bad 6 days a week and Sunday spend all day at the church ,you won’t get my respect ever…do you see \ understand the difference?🤨

Have clear boundaries and yes, don't over apologize. Control your emotions. I find a lot of people very reactive and expresses their opinions without thinking over their choice of words and manner of crossing them. Manners and politeness are never out of value. People should learn it more.

I realize the best respect starts with yourself & who cares what other ppl thinks. Clear communication, but some ppl will never get it. Don't waste your time with those who want to get under your skin & wants to drag you down. There are too many petty ppl just don't waste of time with them. Always keep a smile on your face & walk away when someone disrespects you or call them out even if it's your boss. Being nice & kind goes a long way, but don't waste your time with pettiness. Put your needs first without taking advantage of others. Being self-sufficient & don't blame others for your shortcomings. Just move on if your not happy.

I agree in some circumstances : try at you job to have a different opinion, when you know you're right,or when you get offended, it doesn't bring you more respect because at a job are people obsessed by control, narcissist, selfish.... they will never accept another opinion, even they don't give your right to freedom of speech! With all that, there are moment when I'm quiet and angry, and some moments when I break up and speak up my point of view, but keep my anger inside, trying a reasonable way ! But in other circumstances of if a neighbor offended me , I don't give a rats ass , I express my opinion, you don't get it...fuck off , that person doesn't respect people! I set my boundaries even at work, with my friends and family but not express them in a brutal way , just nice , ferm and very surt and streactily about it! I like to help people, I love to be there were it's need it for others but I know also when some people try to take advantage from this ,so I have some limits (I have learned that from my mistakes, from my past )

What's my thoughts?Everything in this video is true, but here are my thoughts on Not to be too Nice all the time. I believe you should be who you really are and be nice at all times if you can. Why? Because depression is on the rise, and we are living in tough times. Your kindness can restore someone's hope. Also, when you are consistently nice it helps the business and you gain people trust that way. In return money. What I had to learn is to stop being too nice to those who show signs of red flags. I had to learn this the hard way and I'm still learning this. Depending on the situation, still be respectful, but once someone once shows you their toxic ways redirect that extra nice energy to those who will appreciate it and not use it to walk over you. I disagree with Not to be too nice all the time because you should be all the time if you can, especially if that's who you are. Just set boundaries.

Quit trying. Stop caring about others opinion. Do what is truly right, on your own way, but do not care about it on their end. Many people do not care and thst is their power over you! They see thst you do and will play you, even if it's subtle or undermining in the most petty of ways. But you can't worry yourself about it, that is giving awy your power. That is how they are an energy vampire. They will never be on your side like a supportive team player should be in a healthy workplace environment. I know all about it. Trust me, they want to see you care so they can mock you, mimic you, ostracize you, etc. Avoid, ignore, call them out one on one but know they will raise the stakes, or quit. Psychopaths are everywhere.

There is a huge difference between being polite, and people pleasing. Some of us aren't raised with manners. And people with manners, are seen as fake when they do get assertive. People think that's being too nice, but you just tryna keep the peace and respect another's safe space in themselves. Until they swerve in your lane, then that nice shit is out the window when you decide to become "problematic" and you apologize if what you did really does impact another negatively and you know it was your fault. You want the person to trust you still, without them feeling like they won't be gaslighted. Sometimes people just won't respect you, because they are jealous of you. I love that society rejects me, I don't have to try hard to fit in. They have to try hard to fit in uniform, showing me how broken and fragmented it really is. I can be whoever tf I want to be for myself unapologetically. Their rejection is a whole ass gift for me. Thank you, may I have another. #bookwormbellethebeauty #bookwormbellethebeauty #rejectionfeelsgreat

The key to respect is about who you are as a person. Yes. But that's only half of the truth. Because the key to respect is also about who is the person that you're expecting respect from. Expecting respect from absolutely everyone is a realistic thing only if you live in a perfect world. Maybe if you do everything it's said here you will be respected most of the time. But I doubt you'll be able to get respect in every situation, regardless of the variables brought at play by the other people. Also, fake respect is not real respect and oftentimes getting respect doesn't come with butterflies and rainbows, on the contrary. Setting boundaries may involve wars and losing relationships...

Definitely makes sense. I live by by grandma words: since I’m a child she told me just because you don’t like someone doesn’t mean you have to be disrespectful! Respect is universal! If they are difficult to deal with and or relate to… I energetically remove myself. If work related I keep it civil! People will be people and there’s an array of different reasons why people act they way they do… to defend myself means there’s a chance you can prove me wrong! If the basics have been met and one is impossible I can relate however keep it very curt! Many times when this happens the person that’s a boundary smasher, a conversation denominator etc… they see themselves! Kindness always goes a long way! Believe me I’ve dealt with some of the most contentious people and have lost my poise… Practice definitely produces progress!!! We are all in this together! Thank you for posting this video! A kind reminder to all of us!

One only needs what doesn't have. A real man needs only one person's respect, himself. A man who have self respect doesn't need to be respected by anyone else. This is a matter of weak and fools.

I don’t believe you can make people respect you when it’s a disrespectful stranger/ person or more than one. Disrespect is ingrained in their character. If it was not, they would not disrespect others. You can only protect yourself from creeps like that. That is your power and your choice.

Great oversight this one.... You literally have to protect yourself from cruel and disrespectful people.....Not every person respect other people... Others choose to disrespect you even when you show them respect....

Good information, how ever empathy and compassion can be a strong motivation to help people,it is to bad that people want to lable those natural feelings " people pleaser". However I will not argue the fact some people choose to take advantage so definitely reasonable boundaries is a wise course! I do respect a person who has self-respect however hesitant towards those who have possible narcissistic traits! I always appreciate a individual who will disagree when is appropriate as long as it is done with respect! Their is a time and place for everything,so certainly their is a time to stand firm!🤔

@Karl with a K Interesting, did you know their is a whole book written about a man who got the respect and attention of both men and women over 1000 years ago and to this day many are drawn to his teachings.Durring his lifetime he was not highly educated, snubbed by those whom were. Not known for his wealth nor looks, however his teachings have influenced people around the world and plenty have given their lives because he could reach people hearts! Wealth ,looks are a false security at the end of the day what makes the difference is how did that person make you feel! Their are some studies on apes, how they veiw the alpha Ape the one on top , let's just say in time it doesn't go so well ! At the end of the day the one that gets the respect is the one that respect others!

@Karl with a K I'm just trying to be helpful ! The book is the Bible, about a man named Jesus! He was a man that influenced many of his time, how? I would encourage you to find out! Was it manipulation? What did he gain? He died poor! He didn't hold people hostage! He took no money when he cured people.when the Jews wanted to make him a political leader , a political king he disappeared from the crowd,he showed he didn't want that admiration, He criticized the reasoning of the influential and by doing so he certainly was not on the top of the list of invites ! The women loved him, why? he valued their opinions, he honored their worthiness inspite of the twisted religious teachings that a woman cover herself with a veil in public and she was not allowed to speak to men in public,Dignity he taught! Not everyone agreed, but many hearts were touched, that a book was written about him! A manipulator deceives in a way to take from someone,Jesus took nothing! Whats the lesson? The combination of courage to stand for something and showing genuine respect and kindness is more meaningful and memorable than the handsome man and beautiful woman,by the way can you remember the name of the latest miss America beauty? Is that still around? Anyway you have a right to your opinion, take care,""You be you"!

The 1 step that I don't agree with you on, is the 1 that you said respecting others first. I always respect others 1st, buy more times than not I get treated with disrespect for no reason at all, and then those same people that have disrespected me will be totally respectful towards others. Alot of times, I've had people just come up to me and be disrespectful without me saying a single word to them, or doing anything to them or even just looking at them. So giving respect first doesn't work all the time

Watch your body language.. You need to develop body language showing more self-confidence.. I read your post .. saying people often disrespect you for no reason while the same people show respect to others.. even when you respect them. I m writing from my personal experience, it's not official or may not be all correct. In my opinion, the way we show respect and approach others - the non-verbal communication - is very important.. Studies show that people respond to not just our outer manners but our inner thoughts (regarding the interactions with them).. as well.. You may wonder how can they know my thoughts or feelings about them . ..but it's sixth sense.. we, humans have sixth sense.. If you are feeling inferior to others, they will sense it.. if you r feeling superior, they can sense that too.. and when you feel neither inferior nor superior, they will know that too.. But best scenario is the last one... Be comfortable with who and what you are and it will show in your body language and people can sense it.. and they will automatically respect you because you respect yourself. On the other hand, if you are feeling inferior to those around you for some reason, it will show up in your body language, tone of your voice, the way you smile, or in number of subtle ways.. that we don't always have control over.. and some people tend to show disrespect in a sub-concious response to your overall body language and approach to them.. They don't always do this consciously.. So, I think the KEY is NOT to feel inferior to others, not being intimidated by anyone. I know, it's easier said than done if you always felt inferior as a habit or as your nature. . But we must work on it.. To do that you need to: ○ FIRST ACCEPT YOURSELF THE WAY YOU ARE... ○ HAVE SELF RESPECT AND HIGH SELF ESTEEM ○ TRUST YOUR OWN WORDS AND ACTIONS AND DEFEND THEM NICELY.. ○ Don't be overly apologetic. . ○ And Express your thoughts freely without fearing non-acceptance from others.... ● Most importantly, work on your body language.. And LOVE yourself Hope this helps.. Regards.. 🌺🌸🌺🌸

@@autodogdact3313 man stfu. Fear can be respected when there’s an understanding to it. If a man is violent for a reason, women can kinda fear that, but respect that knowing that their man would never touch them. For other guys, slight fear and respect could go together because guys who know you won’t try some bs on you. It’s true believe it or not.

Violence shows your inner insecurities, self loathing and fears, as soon as you lose self control, you hand over your inner personal power to your "perceived opponent" lashing out shows weakness, low self esteem and lack of self respect

If you need to make anyone respect you, it's only because you don't respect yourself. And if people don't respect you, it's only because they don't respect themselves. If you don't respect yourself it's only because you don't know who you are, which is precisely the same thing as everyone else. And we don't know who we are, because we are experiencing a virtual-reality simulation of LIMITATION; a total illusion. YOU HAVE NO LIMITATIONS, in absolute Reality. I have all the answers, and only because I was willing to listen to the correct Voice. Absolute Truth is the ultimate psychotherapy, and I have it. Click and ye shall find...
