thank you for showing so gentle, i did it myself i thought when did once it was good than the lock get loose so i have to repeat it, but sometime the chrochet needle cant go true it , so thats why i thought it was good after one time go east west etc... thank you i go try again before going to a haidresser

@@locsman another loc myth. I have microlocks maintained but interlocking. Three years in and the locks are the same width along the length. It starts off thinner and then thickens.

Eat healthy and know when to use products and when to not use any products, etc. Most ppl vary in the ways that they maintain so just go with your gut. never use too much of any ingredient, or you can just use water; washing the hair is very essential

kinda just answered your own question but using anything like a sponge or locking tool defeats the purpose of them being free formed. Just let your hair grow and don't brush it.

It weakens your dreads and will cause breakage in time.

@@locsman only if done wrong. if you're not interlocking too tight - locs will be fine

You can't 'pop' them. With other methods, if your locs are still forming but they are too big, you can pop them down the middle. You can not do that with interlocking. You have to commit, lol.

@@tsizzle7937 because curly hair will curl in on itself and the loop gets "blended" in a way. Straight hair will not, it will just grow out and cause a weak spot because the individual hairs have no way of being integrated into the lock. they are confined to their grouping. hope that makes sense lol
