I've used planners as journals for a couple of years myself. I find using a planner helps me be more consistent to write daily.

I really enjoyed your journals! I use happy notes as journals mostly. I capture my prayers, topic studies, and scripture writing. I used to us a horizontal/vertical planner but now I just stick to happy notes since they allow me to set up my page differently each time. Thanks so much for sharing! Love it!

Jackpot!!! This is great and something I really want to get in to. I’ve been on the prowl for some sort of “memory journaling”. It’s been on my mind for several weeks on end. I just didn’t know if such existed let alone where to find ideas and suggestions. For the past three or four years I’ve been doing some bullet journaling. I’m so tired of drawing boxes. It’s has become time consuming, I get behind with updates, and it’s cumbersome. That’s what happens when you try to put everything except the kitchen sink on paper so to speak. I do have lined Happy Planner pages that I cover with graph or bullet journal paper. The GSM in the Happy Planner pages I found is not as thick. If I am accurate, markers will bleed on the pages from colored images. Speaking of coloring images, I do use rubber stamps on occasion. Stickers I do have and use quite a bit to add color.

hi jazz! 👋 SO happy your channel came up in the search results. i just bought a sophisticated florals skinny (simply could not resist its beauty) & was looking to get some inspo for journaling in a HP cause i do want to use it, but i also want to continue using my HB weeks 😩 (planner dilemmas lol) so this video is super helpful for me. and i ❤️ the idea of adding a half sheet when addt’l space is needed. Loves this video. Super cute. Like the way you did it ..since covid.. I don't really have too many plans so nice to use it as a journal of thoughts.

There was a skinny on clearance when I got my dashboard and Faith, I have started using it as a mini daily journal and the limited space is more encouraging to use than a larger page. I have a separate composition sized notebook for long journaling that only gets used a few times a month normally. The only thing I don’t like is that the skinny is laid out as a spread instead of one week on a single sheet, when I use up the pages I will print my own. I don’t understand why most people seem to get entirely new planners every year when by nature disc can be reused and updated indefinitely. I understand wanting to change covers and discs occasionally but don’t understand the trade off of not printing your own planner guts, especially when just trying out a new layout.
