Not only that, but even if I had this exact car, my seat height and distance settings would also have to be the same in order to get the proportions right. And turn radius? The guys knew it all very well, but for me as a child, I would question their risky actions of parking another car so close. But I must admit they worked to a system with all sorts of different cars of different sizes and never made an error. It was amazing for me to see them at work putting these cars inside at the days end. They were good at their job.

My dad taught me to line up the edge of the hood to where the tires of car infront of you touch ground when at a red light or in stopped traffic. It will leave enough room for you to move to the next lane from a full stop, full turn with out having to back up- he taught also did the bottom of side mirrors for parking or stopping at red lights, when I back up I use the edge of the parking lines - you can also just use neighboring cars to judge.

One time a young lady parked so close to my car, I didnt believe she got out of her car without damaging my car. She came back to her car and I queried her about it. She said she could get into her car without touching my car, and in front of me she did just that very well. 😂 She was quite a small build I admit. Then I said ok you are certainly amazing. Then she told me that she would prefer If I reverse out of my car space first before she reversed out because she was worried she might damage both our cars. She had only had a licence a short time. I appreciated her telling me this and so I got in my car and reversed out carefully and safely and parked elsewhere so that she could reverse out with more confidence and more space. It all worked out well, and I am still amazed that she got out of her car without touching my car. 😂
