ive done the version where i jump mid air for 1 year now. i called it knockback over riding, and didn't only do it with jumping, i found that if I did any movement, such as left or forward, it would boost me a bit in the direction i was going. i also assumed this is why a and d tapping worked, and why people said w tapping reduced knockback. even though i'm bad, it was really easy for me. i also taught my friend and they got really good with it. Though sometimes i jumped earlier.

Another method is to jump when you hit the ground. This is called jump reducing which would reduce your knock back and boost you forwards. This is used a lot in bedrock edition and people use it with jump resets which is super annoying.

This is honestly such a high risk option. I’m definitely intermediate or advanced and I’ve gained a good understanding of three sprint reset methods and I understand combos and other mechanics which I’m just not consciously thinking of. Do I have to do this to keep up? It feels very high risk and it goes against basically my fundamentals. I’m also EXTREMELY low ping, like 11-20 ms. Is this relevant? Thanks for reading!
