I think you should get a short tail nurse shark, an epaulettes shark, and either a lion fish or snapper of some kind, I would say a commerson’s frog fish, but they get about 15inches long and literally nothing would be safe, also in regards to a clean up, I would probably recommend horseshoe crabs

@@AquariumDomain. Marbled Bamboo is same as white spotted Bamboo right. Slightly smaller and from Japan. I have a 27 incher. 2 years old. He's a sweet dog. The Japanese Leopard ate squid today after having him only 24 hours. Truly a beautiful animal. The bamboo look great but have the underside mouth that some viewers don't consider shark like. The California Leopard gets too big and can look too friendly in some case and extreme shark like in others. 50/50 But these Japanese Leopards have that permanent resting bitch face lol. Always looks pissed off even when gently swimming by. I have a question. How Quickly did your California Leopard grow. I'm reading 3-6 inches per year. Which seems very slow compared to my Bamboos

@@808Tornado Yes, the Whitespotted Bamboo Shark (CHILOSCYLLIUM PLAGIOSUM). Yeah that is dead on for how the Japanese Leopards look LOL :-) but they are super cool. My first shark was actually a California Leopard Shark (TRIAKIS SEMIFASCIATA), that I got at about 16"-18" and in roughly 3 years he/she was 3 feet. In fact it was the fish that I made my first DIY tank for back in 1999. Built a 8 x 5 foot tank for him/her and then 3 months later I came back from work and the shark was on the floor...squeezed its way out of a tiny whole where I had the filter return pluming coming into the tank. 😞

My tank is completely covered. No one's ever jumped out before so knock on wood. My white spotted is pretty damned awesome. Gently take food from my wife's hand. I know this video is a year old but I’ve watched it many times half out of pure amazement at what you’ve built and also as a reference for myself as I’m giving serious consideration to converting my 8x3x2 FOWLR into a shark/ray tank. I’ve tried to research as much as possible online but a lot of it just sounds like the same info that they read somewhere else and just keep repeating meanwhile most of these people have never actually kept sharks/rays. My game plan is either a coral cat shark or a pair of coral cat sharks with a yellow stingray. I’ve been wanting to get an experienced shark keeper opinion on if this is doable in a 360 gallon tank? Other tank mates would be a zebra eel and maybe a grouper and that’s about it. I run two 27” lifereef skimmers and run probably 40 liters of siporax media in my sump. Anyhow I’ve thought about keeping sharks and rays for years but just not sure if my stocking for this size tank is realistic. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! And again I love your set up absolutely beautiful!
@AquariumDomain.
@AquariumDomain. 2 ай бұрын
I don't see any issue with a pair of Coral Catsharks, Yellow Ray along with a small to medium species of Eel and Grouper. Zebra Moray would be good, big but not too big and for the Grouper anything up to about 16-18" should work out fine.

A banded hound shark (Japanese leopard) would be so sweet in there. Males average around 3.5 feet and take 5 plus years to get that big. Warm water unlike the California leopard and Smooth grey hound. So compatible with your set up. They do swim mid level and somewhat more active than your bamboo. But likewise will spend 50% of their time laying on the bottom. Your thumbnail made me think you already had one lol. As far as the sharks not bothering eachother. It's quite interesting.. There's an unwritten rule where sharks won't eat sharks. Even an adult 4 foot black tip reef shark would not eat an 8 inch baby brown banded bamboo shark. They live in the same tank in harmony. There are exceptions such as the great hammerhead shark which will indeed eat other sharks. But 95% of shark species will not eat other sharks. Interspecies aggression between alike males..yes.. but that's the biggest concern. The 3 foot bamboo is simply gorgeous. I love the coloration and activity. Appears to still be growing. I've seen some 4 footers here in Las Vegas. My 29 month old white spotted Bamboo was 24 inches in February. And is now 27 inches. So still growing as well. Your videos have made me simply have to get a coral cat shark. Stunning colorations!!! Thank you very much for showing me how the mizuri shark pills work. I had no idea. I will definitely get some now. If you have time to write down the bottles name and where you purchased it would be greatly appreciated.
