The final bolt is now in the rocker cover, I found that there was part of the gasket obscuring the hole so I couldn't get the bolt in. I used a small flat headed screwdriver to cut through the cork and sucked out the leftovers with a vaccuum and was then able to get the bolt in. You will see the results in a future video, but for now I want to say sorry if this one seemed to end abruptly, because it did. The intention was to degrease the engine and take it for a drive to see if it was still leaking, but a number of things worked against us. First there was that bolt that wouldn't go in, by the time I gave up I was exhausted. I was dripping with sweat, my legs were cramping, I was huffing and puffing like a steam train and I just had to stop. As some of you are aware I am recovering from some pretty serious health issues but I'm not letting that stop me, except when it does. Of course we have limited time to make these videos, I have a full time job and a family that takes up most of my time. On the Saturday night we lost a family member, one of our two cats, Shorty. If you watched to the end of the video there is a brief tribute, but it doesn't really show what this little guy meant to the family. You've seen how Red follows me around the shed, well Shorty was pretty much like that in the house. He would always be with one of, sitting on the keyboard while I'm trying to edit, walking in front of the web cam when I'm in work meetings, that kinda thing. Needless to say we didn't get much sleep that night and I had considered waiting another week to put a video out but I figured there was enough there to make something reasonable even if it didn't include everything in the video I wanted to. I am really conscious of the fact that it is taking me a long time to get anything done on these cars when most KZfaq shows get a whole car done in an episode. I don't think our channel will ever be like that, at least not for a while. We are more the slow burn kind of channel atm, but I do hope at the very least we encourage some of you to get out in your sheds and have a go at getting your own cars back up and running.
