Clown sightings are on the rise, but even your average creepy clown doesn’t compare to the average scary clown we’ve seen throughout the history of horror movies. From Eli Roth to Rob Zombie, Captain Spaulding to Pennywise from It by Stephen King, soon to resurface in the new It movie, It Chapter 2. Pennywise the Dancing Clown might be the current It clown of the day, but the Joker 2019 is hot on his floppy heels.
Many nerds live in terror of the next clown sighting and clown scare, and scour the internet for killer clown videos to assuage their fears of horror icons like Pennywise, Twisty the Clown from AHS American Horror Story Freak Show, and more. It, Pennywise for those who are familiar, has horrifying us with every It 2019 trailer, clip, and scene we’ve seen so far, and as more comes to like about the upcoming Joaquin Phoenix Joker movie, the crazy clown is a trope that is deeply embedded in our psyches, and it doesn’t look like the laughter will stop anytime soon.
