Same as my mother did. I think it's called 'Eastern European or Russian style. My mum came from eastern Poland.

What number is your alize #4 medium,#5 bulky or #6 super bulky?

Does not look like super bulky.If using #11 needles medium. Looks like someone else asked 3 months ago and you did not answer we need to know what the weight size???

Your scarf is beautiful. But I'm having difficulties. On the second row in the repeat pattern, knitting double loops lowers the overall number of loops. Moreover, they don't appear to be crossing.
