Mr. Billy, I just wanted to thank you I have been wearing Whites since the 70's I just pulled my 1993 farmer ranchers out resent rebuilds I followed your lace up instructions man who said you can't teach a old dog new tricks 👍😎👍
@michaelparcus36256 жыл бұрын
My dad also taught me to go from the last eyelet straight up to the first speed hook, not crossing over. That gives the ankle part of the front of the boot room to flex and makes it more comfortable.

Buckin'......glad you like the laces and that they found a home on your "new" Vibergs. Those laces are coated with beeswax that Obenaufs uses in their boot grease. Glad you're feeling better and thanks Tony for the package. Welcome new subs.........be kind.

Funny enough brent, ace hardware handles are O.P. Link handles, aka Seymour-Link now these days. OP Link was/is a hickory handle company in Indiana..., indiana/Kentucky/Tennessee hickory, the only hickory worth making handed from. Link handles are not as good as they once were, but still great handles... They had hundreds of ax handle patterns in the catalog. Each being offered in slim, regular, and heavy... Octagon... Everything.. Shame no more.

Hey buckin' your top knot is backwards when you finished the tie. I tied mine the same way for years.. Once I was corrected i felt like a goofball. Notice how the bights, or loops are vertical instead of horizontal when you finished the lace knot at the top. The small difference that corrects that knot, and keeps them tied tight all day is when you make the first cross over with the laces to start the knot, cross your left lace under the right lace, instead of over top, then continue the knot as normal with the bights or bunny ears. Try both ways, the way your lace knot was in the video will slip over and over and loosen, and you will find yourself re-tying laces during the day. With the bights horizontal, they won't slip all day long tight laces. 👍 keep it up brother

I wax the laces on my 12” tall red dawgs and pretty much every other pair of boots I own. They stay tite and never come loose or untied. I also make my own boot grease. All natural,beeswax,bee propolis,pine pitch,coconut oil and almond oil. Works great,none of my boots leak,they stay soft and supple and no silicone or anything that will eat natural stitches or go rancid.

But your top knot is a double granny, it should be a square knot! I fought that into my teens till I realized why it kept coming loose. So i studied it and reversed my base knot and it became automatic to tie a square knot. If I am going to some work in the woods etc I tie another one in the loops, stay all day!
