I’ve been trying to cut my own hair the last year or two but I like it a little long. The disclaimer you gave about your experience and how much harder it is to cut your own hair, made me realize I’ve been too harsh in myself. I cut my hair every 2-3 months so I don’t get much opportunity to practice. I’m only interested in cutting my own hair so I should be more patient and realistic as you said. Don't talk so negatively about yourself, everyone has positive attributes. Start focusing on a positive thing and you will manifest more positivity. Look into salon/barbershop apprenticeships in your area. Things will get better for you!

I have short curly hair and don’t have bangs, but the hairs that would be in my bangs it I had them are cut too short. I also don’t think they are cut properly because they are curling in a weird way. Is there a way to fix that? What is that area called if you don’t wear it as bangs? Is it just the top front? Mine is messed up and is too short for the sides and too messed up seeming.

This is sooooo helpful!! I wish I had seen it before I first hacked my hair, then went to a stylist who hacked it even worse! I've been hacking away almost daily to make it work, but at least now I can force it into a shape that I want with a lot of effort, flat ironing and hairspray. I would love for it to go naturally into this style (kind of a shag/Jennifer Anniston look), but I fear that my only solution is to trust a professional. Yikes!! I am so shellshocked. I have only had one good stylist (a male) but I moved out of the area. You are a lifesaver since covid!! Thank you for all of your effort!

@@tamimshanto1740Try using some volumizing shampoo 2 prevent it from staying flat it will give you tons of volume nd helps making your hair appear more fuller,try using products that are lightweight,products on the thicker/heavier side tend 2 weigh hair down also making it flat

I decided to try a new hairstyle. Sort of chinese bob/staggered bob. Not too pointy to the front and not too crazy short at the back but a lot of layers at the back. The first time it was fine. Now I went back to trim again, but this time I'm not sure what she did, but the back on top looks so horrible. It lays completely flat and looks like it wants to part and the hair at the sides creates like a circle at the back with this flat part in the middle. I asked my husband to take a photo as I can feel it feels horrible. Now I'm so self conscious about my hair and I have extremely straight hair that doesn't hold curl, so it needs to be cut correctly. 😢 I don't know what to do now? Should I go back? Is this something she can fix? What went wrong this time? 😢😢

Def call back to tell her and express your issues. Only she can fix it and hopefully she can patch it up. You paid for the cut so you have every right to call back to have it fixed.
