I been cutting my hair for a year. I have definetly gotten better only because videos like this. It takes me hours and a lot of patience because my hair is thick but it's worth for what I save over time.

yes, Yes YES! Thank you! Your layering videos have allowed me to give myself better haircuts than I can get in the salons in my city. I sometimes mess up an area but this video allowed me to learn what I might be doing wrong and what to do to let the mistake grow out.

@@janjoestar8757 it came out nice! I was using Brad Mondo's tutorial before (the one with multiple ponytails), but this was way easier and it all blends really nicely.

I enjoy your videos very much. I need to order sharper scissors so when I do attempt to cut my hair the cut is more precise.

It took me 3 attempts to get my hair the way I wanted it from watching your videos but I'm a determined perfectionist but not a Virgo ..Lol I first did my face frame with bags cut chin length. Then I divided my hair up and layered the back starting at the top crown area & worked my way down the back. I was not sure how short I wanted the back until the end (third pass)because my hair was pretty long passed mid back. I did the sides second wanting a shorter layer on side toward the front so it would have some lift & curl under. The last pass was marrying the length in the back to the sides so I took about 3 more inches off the length in the back so it looks way better overall and my hair looks thicker as a result & has more movement on sides and also in the back. My husband was impressed & said my hair looked great so this is a credit to your teaching skills & giving me the courage to go for it! Thanks for All you do for your clients in NJ. I live in WA state where these hair dressers don't have a clue about what I wanted.😊👍👋❤

Have you, or could you, wear a wig yourself and then demonstrate how to cut layers, especially the back since the mannequin isn't quite the same as doing it on oneself? Thanks!

I tried layering my wavy hair once, it was a disaster, it was anticipated tho, what I noticed when I was layering my hair when picking a section of it when doing the brush thing and the finger thing was I can't see the dead ends like this mannequin's hair... Let me explain: my hair is wavy and curly so when I do the fingers thing ( that process of locking the hair tops with your fingers ) after taking a section of the hair , because my hair is curly, the hair strains always shape a curve directing to the palm of my hand, as a result, I cannot see the dead ends clearly I know my explanation was not on point, but if you can provide any help, it will be appreciated

Does it curl in to your fingers even when it's wet? Maybe you can blowdry & flat iron it straight? Then cut it dry? That's probably what I'd do.
