Dral Sny After mistreating, enslaving, and killing some people for decades it will be tough to gain their trust back because they might forgive you but they will never forget what you did to them. Thats why the joke might have another approach for any other ethnicity.

You speak about it as if this generation were the ones who did all of those horrible things, and as if black people now were once slaves. What our ancestors have done and who they were don't define us now. We define ourselves. Obviously, what happened was a tragedy, but it shouldn't reflect on white people today, just as much as Isis shouldn't impact the view of normal, peaceful Muslims.

Unfortunately Americans are naturally too tribal and too ignorant to understand this concept. People are always going to want to find a way to divide themselves. Asking for any kind of reasoning or intelligence in 2017 is too much.

You’re dead right! And I do agree with the tips you’re sharing in the video. I’m from Bulgaria therefore my native language is Bulgarian. I’m really fond of learning languages, discovering new cultures, communicating with many people, etc. Because of my love for languages, I decided to apply for a language school where I chose to attend to English and French classes. Then I got obsessed with Mexico and its culture so I made up my mind about taking up learning Spanish on my own. It was tough in the beginning but I found loads of new friends who helped me develop my knowledge and vocabulary. Then the fear of speaking came. I thought my accent was appalling and I was pretty ashamed of it. Then I met a girl from Spain who was a volunteer in Bulgaria for a short period of time and organised some classes on speaking only in Spanish. When I shared her my problem, she assured me my accent was excellent, the grammar and vocabulary were correct and there was no reason to be concerned. Actually this was the moment I did believe in myself and overcame my fear of talking to people in a foreign language. Months later, when I went to Spain for a week, I was speaking only in Spanish and I was our family translator 😂. I was able to feel the magic of speaking fluently, with no obstacles. Natives were amazed and it was a pleasure to have such a conversation. Once again, your advices are incredible and there’s no doubt the belief is the first and most important step. 👏🏼

Even people just here in the states that are on work visas and want to learn English so they can get a promotion. And they really enjoy helping with Arabic. The Tandem app is nice because it lets you make calls from the app and you don't have to give out your whatsapp number and after every call the person writes a review about you and how helpful you were. I've learned a lot with CE and Tandem and have only had them for about two weeks 😊

Thank you so much for this video. I started watching it just to get some tips because I'm thinking about starting to learn a language, but I came away with so much more. I think so many people should watch this video, even if they don't want to learn a language, but if they want to do anything in life. Your three tips; motivation, believe, and don't be afraid, can be applied to doing and learning anything, can be applied to achieving any goal. I just wanted to say thank you so much for this. xx

people get movitavted by watching shows or movies from a different conutry and I honestly kinda learned Turkish by watching Turkish drama or movies for years just by hearing their language and reading the English sub titles ALOT, and then later on in the years, I got used to the words they were saying and knowing what they meant, I didn't even have to look down on the English sub title.

This really inspired me! I'm currently taking Afrikaans (South Africa) at school and i'm really struggling. I always thought "Oh, I'll never need it my school is english and doesn't have such high standards". That was before I moved and now attend a bilingual (2/3 Afrikaans 1/3 English) school. Still struggling but I've gone from like 40% to 60% in Afrikaans. I'm thinking about trying Dutch because Afrikaans is based off of it.

@alwaysoutlawed4462
@alwaysoutlawed4462 7 жыл бұрын
I'd recommend finding an Afrikaans series or program on a topic that interests you (there are a few good ones, but unfortunately, too many low quality) - if your parents speak it, you should know the culture, and that's the most important part to understand the "reasons" for certain sayings. Etc. The grammar is really simple, so you should pick it up easily. Apparently it is the easiest language in the world for an English person to learn, so good luck! (PS. Ek is Afrikaans)

I am fluent in English and French, as I go a bilingual school- I'm beginning to learn Spanish and Korean, as my mom is from Seoul and my best friend is Hispanic. I'm starting Mandarin next year at school, so I'm super excited about that too. (Also, I'm only 11 lmao so I don't have tons of time to study 😂) So by the time I'm in college I would love to speak 5 languages... Any language recommendations?

How do you know when you can move on the the next language? And is it possible to learn two languages at the same time ?
@easypeasy837
@easypeasy837 7 жыл бұрын
Lilmama jaiteh i think it is yea. if you dont want to get confused and get a cross over you could learn languages that are not like the other language. for example spanish and polish. or sweedish and French. or chinese and spanish. whatever you want cus theyre not similar in any way so it helps. however, if you learnt two languages that are very similar like spanish and italian, or spanish and portugues then maybe it will help because theyre so similar so its kinda like expanding your vocabulary from both directions. if you want to learn a language for free theres duolingo.com. they also have an app too. completely free and they have loads of languages to chose from, and you can learn as many as you want at one time

I have more time now as a working adult. I took a Japanese course while I was studying at university and found it hard to focus on my degree plus the language course. I did the whole year of Japanese (every Wednesday night) but I didn't get to sit the final exam because it clashed with my deadlines and assignments for my actual degree, so in the end I didn't get a certificate for it :(

Learn the basics of the grammar with duolingo. Listen music in your target languaje when you are doing meanless task such as walking, in the bus. Watch movies in the target languaje, or watch youtube, there are many famous youtubers with english sub. If you are interesting in something such as tutorials to learn something you can find it in youtube, just use google translate to know how to search t in youtube. Use wikipedia in that languaje you want to learn. And play with ba ba dum to learn more vocabulary. I hope this help you to start learning that languaje!

It's a really difficult language, infinite grammar rules (and exceptions), hardcore conjugation, hardcore spelling even for native speakers. I know what I am talking about, I am French haha. It will definitly be easier if you live in France, no doubt. Little trick: some people like to learn a language by listening to native speakers, I chose to listen to let's players because it is easy and entertaining. French let's players that you can follow on youtube: Squeezie , Amixem, Cyril/SUPERKONAR, Wankil Studio, Joueur du grenier, Bazar du grenier
