Still learning front 50-50's, I put my board on the ledge, trucks locked and do a run and jump on the board to get the feel. Ride on grinds also help me get more comfortable with ollie-ing onto a ledge

This is a good one. It's cool that you show the progress of the trick and make it okay to take things slow. Its tough when you go to the park and you see people just balsting stuff. It makes you feel like you're not doing it if you go slower or are just trying to feel stuff out. Thanks for reminding us to work up to it!

@paullucci25 күн бұрын
@@whoisdyl5486try moving the balls of your feet back towards your heel side a little bit. That should put your weight more where it needs to be. Also try to land with your weight more on your back foot. I see people front foot heavy when they are toe-siding FS 50-50s. Lift your front truck enough to clear the Ollie but land back foot first. Once you figure that out you’re on your way to a bunch of other grinds.

dude i was looking exactly for this, i've been skating for 12 yrs and never had a decent ledge to pratice, like i can do sw lazer on flat, im good with transition skate, but ledges i suck and always got fked up throught out my life, i stopped skate in the pandemics but im back and we built two good ones at my local park and i've struggling, im learning shit that i supossed to learn a decade ago lmao, and at the same time learning switch too, i got front and back 5050 reg and switch, now im getting confortable with fs and bs nose reg and switch too, also building confidence to switch 5-0's those scare the hell out of me lmao Thanks for the tips! im going full on ledges to step up my game, i hate the feeling of being thrash at what i like to do

@@goatcoffee if that's your problem I would try to twist more your waist, I know it seems scarier but it's way more cozy. Like a front board when you just tap it and a front board going to fakie you know? Turn more and twist your waist and you should be good. You're still gonna slip out some time but you will get it eventually

Ledges are weird, there's so much open space it freaks me out, because I don't know where I'll land. That's why I'll take a curb any day, you can find ones just as high as most ledges (if you look hard enough) & the lock in just feels way stable. I hate how super slippery granite is, combine that with the wrong wheels, A not perfect ollie & you've got the perfect recipe for a bad day.

I've been getting better at crooks on curb sized ledges. But I'm garbage when it comes to getting a crook on like a 12" ledge. I know there really shouldn't be much difference but there's something weird going on in my head. I'm not really afraid of committing. I think I do something different and cause the wheel to bounce out of the locked position. Any tips for that? Thanks for the video. 👊
@spencernuzzi27 күн бұрын
Try going more parallel to the ledge and lean forward a little more as well as add pressure to keep u heavy on front foot for the crook. Hope that helps!

@Kadehollan27 күн бұрын
Practice ollieing into a fs nose stall going straight at it once you get that down go at the ledge at a good angle then gradually become more parallel with the ledge the more parallel you go the more you slide so it slowly builds the muscle memory
@skatedad979427 күн бұрын
Yeah that's how I do them. Right now I have to start every session going straight at the ledge and doing stall first to warm up then I start hitting the angle and sliding a little @@Kadehollan
@Kadehollan25 күн бұрын
@skatedad9794 same dude I'm sliding a bit more in my bs nose slides but I can still lock in and slide fs a little bit after I warm up I usually do some flat ground tricks then move to the box right away and then the rail and quarter pipes
