So, a note on doing this with Incineroar, the generally ideal option to punish ledge rolls is a back throw. It starts killing around 90 by itself, and if the opponent has a recovery you can exploit with Revenge, it works even earlier.

Izaw is great at complete guides and tech found out by multiple people who help him (he has the best editing no contest). Beefy Smash Dudes are great at concepts, testing advance tech, and showing every character in certain situations (like seeing which character can be hit by this or do this tech skill). Zero is great at explaining concepts that would be useful in the competitive scene (since he’s proven to master each concept he explains in real time) as well as viewing characters in the competitive eye since he was best at a game that was closest to this game. Leffen gives more of a view from a player who understands fighting games, he really gives some insight into into looking at this game more objectively (watch his Tweek/Dabuz analysis, there’s some golden nuggets in that if you’re trying to understand how this game is supposed to be played). Dabuz is great for understanding option coverage and very specific interactions the best, has notes on everyone he analyzes). Nario is just entertaining to watch him casually dominate ppl haha. You can literally learn everything you would need to know (outside of some characters that they don’t cover). And if mysmashcorner comes back, he’s is like izaw and beefy smash dudes but also features top players in character guides. It’s awesome all of these guys can do this pretty much full time, that’s not always been true

Zero, regarding Lucina's neutral B getup on shields; you could release the shield as it's about to hit to perfect parry, or get hit by the move if released too early. It doesn't necessarily have to be a big punish.

A move I have been messing around with (Inkling) is to jump on ledge right after them (super tight window, spent 5 hours in training to get it consistent enough to make it worthwhile) and when they r thrown off jump and spike. If they've seen it before, force them into the situation using the gun to waste their jump and a bomb to take away the options of getting on without grabbing the ledge or hesitate to throw off the timing. Its nice to use sparingly as its quite risky, but nice to make a comeback on a low % opponent. Its kind of like a trick play in football when down and u need a big play.

Something that ZeRo didn't mention in this video, is that if you are playing a character with a counter, and you read a getup attack or a double-jump aerial, you can counter at the edge and it can easily kill them if they are at high %'s.

It's important to say that every strategy has its pros and cons... In the case of ledgetrapping close to the ledge with your shield on, apart from the punish shown with shield breaking, there is another punish even more basic: normal get up to grab. You really have to be aware of the most of the posibilities and... well, this is when the mind games begin.

I struggle at this with most characters but with Brawler a well placed shotput covers pretty much every option including waiting on the ledge. You can also just get walled out by a dozen shotputs if you get caught by them offstage. That move can be really annoying if you have a bad recovery.. Good Belmont players can also just murder you with axes but they don't have the bounce and are easier to get under. But then there's usually the Holy Water in your way. Oh and Wolf's upsmash is really good for catching most options from the ledge if you miss or can't get the 2-frame. That move has really silly range and does a lot of damage. Also a pretty good combo ender.

Can we get one about the general principles and strategies of doubles? I tend to struggle in them more than in 1v1s

Good thing we can directional dodge to the ground and neutralize many of these obnoxious options. Not 100% guaranteed but there is still a chance.

Hi Zero I was wondering if you could make a guide on recovering when you're hit off the stage or more specifically getting out of disadvantage from the ledge. I have trouble getting back on stage with characters with bad/linear recoveries. I usually see pros get out of disadvantage from ledge/edgeguarding consistently (at least more than other players) I was hoping you could teach even just the concepts and all the options you have to recover. I feel like this will really help me and a lot of players that struggle to get back on stage especially with characters with bad recoveries.
