I always say to everyone "Keep watching tutorials even if you already know how to work with those tools, because everyday you find something new or something that you didn't know it exist". And this is the case of your tutorial. I've been working on CSP for so long that I didn't know there are other tools that make it easier or faster to make speech ballons. Thanks for sharing, Whyt Manga! I gonna try these tools in my next short comic.

This video was amazing ! One thing worth mentioning is that the fonts like anime ace have to be purchased if you publish your work either digitally or physically. You have to buy the license. :)

This is great! I was trying to learn how to do more varied widths using the balloon tool and didn't know about that "thicken" brush tool to tweak the outlines. I bet it'd be good to have a balloon style guide that you can copy and paste or add to the materials so you don't have to draw them every time. Thanks for sharing these tips! Also it's really amazing seeing the other artists in the vid all using Clip Studio to it's full potential for an authentic manga approach to comics. I've always loved the style and try to emulate the look and process where it makes sense, and you guys are on another level telling stories in this way!

Do you have any tips on how to create lettering for sound effects in Clip Studio Paint? I haven’t seen many videos that explain how to create sound effects in comics, especially sound effects in English. I know that Clip Studio has Japanese sound effects that can be inserted into comics, but there’s not much guidance for adding sound effects in English. How can we even distort the letters (& apply cool perspectives to them) to create interesting-looking sound effects in Clip Studio?

Hi! It’s been a while, so the question might get buried… But I’m trying to really figure out how to do the text part quickly and easily, along with a few tricks for effect. Is there a way to center it in the bubble automatically? Is there a way to make it stack automatically? If I wanted to fill the entire bubble end to end with text (like someone babbling something repeatedly) how do I get that text to crop at the edge of the bubble?

Should you ink first before lettering? Or the other way. I feel like I should letter my comic first to make sure it fits and I can alter the sketch if needed.

During your pencil sketches, lightly sketch out the text you plan to add in the bubble! Hope this helps! Edit: it’s the same way if you’re working digitally.

Can we protest to have text auto wrapping for English words? I don’t want to press enter every line then I have to fix it later if I change my mind later. This is such a minor issue but it’s bugging me and everyone else so much!
