How To Link A Button To A Page In WordPress (2024) | FAST & Easy!
Learn how to link a button to a page in WordPress step by step.
Linking a button to a page in WordPress consists of a few steps. Start by clicking the Posts or Pages tab in the left-side menu in the WordPress dashboard. Adding a link to a button is the same whether you wan to do it for a WordPress post or WordPress page. On the Posts or Pages tab click edit under the page you want to link the button for. Go to the area where you want the button to show and link out too. Click into the section and hover over the area and you'll see the plus icon show up. Click the plus icon. You'll now see buttons show up. If you don't see buttons in the search field, type in button and buttons will show up. Click buttons. It'll now place a button into the page or post.
Click the button and you can change the text. You'll see an editor toolbar. Find the link icon and click it. You can now add a link or type in a page or post from your site to click it to link too. You can choose to open the link in a new tab if you'd like. If you want to remove a link from a button in WordPress just click the link icon with the slash through it. This removes the link in the button. Over on the right, click the style icon. From here, you can change the style of the button, the background text color, background color, and more. Click update at the top right to update your changes. Preview the page or post. Click the button and it'll now link to a page in WordPress.
You've successfully linked a button to a page in WordPress.

1:34 ... "Link" option does not exist in mine. Strange.

That is very strange. There could be a few different things causing this. It could be the theme you are using that either has its own editor interfering or the theme itself. Installing the plugin classic editor usually fixes this problem, which allows you to use the classic editor for making edits. You could also edit it as HTML and add the button via HTML. To do this, where you see the plus icon choose custom HTML. Then add this code to add the button and change out the color codes, sizing, link, and text to what you need: Visit Page

Greetings! If you don't see a plus icon there's a chance you are using a page builder like Elementor or something similar or maybe the Classic WordPress editor. If using the Classic Editor you'd follow these steps. Navigate to the page or post where you want to add the button. Click "Edit" to open the editor. Switch to the "Text" tab in the editor to add HTML. Add the following HTML where you want the button to appear: Button Text Replace URL_of_the_page with the actual URL of the page you want to link to and Button Text with the text you want on the button. Once you've added the button HTML, click the "Publish" or "Update" button to save your changes.

Greetings! To link a button to a page in WordPress here are the steps. To add a link to a button in WordPress, start by navigating to the Posts or Pages tab in the dashboard. Choose the specific page or post you want to edit and click on "Edit." Locate the section where you want the button, click the plus icon, search for and add a button block. Modify the button text by clicking on it. Access the editor toolbar, click the link icon, and input the desired link or select a page/post from your site. Optionally, choose to open the link in a new tab. To remove a link, click the link icon with a slash through it. For customization, click the style icon on the right. Adjust the button's style, background text color, and background color. After making changes, click "Update" at the top right to save. Preview the page or post to ensure the button now links to the specified WordPress page.

2024, nothing in your video is the same, we have tried for 24 hours straight to link our buy button to our products page, but there’s no “link” option in our menu.

Greetings! I just went through the steps in the newest version of WordPress and the steps are the same. There could be a few reasons why yours look different. One is using the Classic Editor or a version of WordPress that is much older. Another reason could be a page builder is being used to build the site which changes the look of it. Another reason, could be the theme you are using and its theme settings.
