Kittens have an instinctual need to cover up their business. That’s where you come in. One of the first things you should do when learning how to litter train a cat is set up their box. First, get all the essentials. A small litter box with low walls. Kitty litter with a special scent that attracts them to it, plus a scooper that lets you sift through waste with ease. Then, choose where to place the box. Best to keep it in a low-traffic area like the bathroom. Next, show the box to your kitten. After that, gently place your kitten in their litter box two to three times per day and scoop once per day. Kitten litter box training made simple.
By taking care of these essential steps in kitten training and cat training, you’ll encourage a healthy habit that will last a lifetime.

Also can you make a video on how to make Cats relax when they have too much energy all the time because chi chi is always running around and i don't want her to Break something cuz then she'll be in trouble And so will i because she's to fast for me and i can't keep up the speed she has :(

The thing I found was the first time I peed in a disposable cut & poured it on the liter. Then put the cat in. Like dogs they have to pee on it. Also watch for small poop on the floor. They clean themselves & sometimes a piece will come out with fur.

About six months ago Carli cat, a gift from God, came into the dining room where I was sitting. She looked up at me and did the weirdest little meow. Then dragged her butt on the floor a bit. I realized there was a turd hanging from her butt, attached to some fur or grass that was still on the other side. The way she looked at me I could tell she wanted me to help her out. She's a great cat! She could've came out of the bathroom and dragged her butt on the carpet, but didn't. And her only other option was to remove it with her mouth, and apparently she would have none of that! So I tugged it out with a paper towel, and washed her butt and surrounding fur with paper towel. What did I learn? Carli really enjoys getting her butt washed! It was funny!

I've owned kittens and cats my entire life (54 years). I've never had to train them. Show them the litter box and that's it!

I've had many cats through the years. All the training they ever needed was showing them where the box was, and putting them in it. Every cat/kitten I've ever had took it from there.

I have adopted a ferrel kitten .She uses litter box in garage but when we show her her other litter boxes in the house she just pees where ever she wants.They are clean boxes never used.I have never had a cat do this before.Help!

Is it possible my kitten is too big for the litter box now? He's litter trained when we got him and got 2 litter box but now he only do 01 in it and 02 once or none and would go on his bed instead. The only variable difference for him for the past 3 months has been his size trippled, but the box is still bigger than him, but i'm wondering if he needs extra space?

The first set of kittens I had started to use litter box just by watching their mama (the box was in the room they were staying in, but when they grow up a litter they found and started to use other boxes on their own too), now I have second set of kittens, all same setup, but they wont use litter box and pooping under bed and under table in every room, I put them to litter box several times a day - they run away, I make sure they watch their mama go but they won't use litter box no matter what. They already big enough to run around the house, so I showed them all ltter boxes (there is 3 in the house - they won't use either one, they find unexpected places to poop. I don't know what to do.

Hi there. We understand how sometimes it can be a challenge to train our babies, although, we recommend you keep doing what you are doing to train them. We suggest also trying to move the litter box to a different spot where it's a bit more private for them to use.

All I did was walk the cats through the house to the pan and dropped them in. Voila...! Trained cat. I only had one car that took a little more time. One cat in 40 plus years of owning 30 cats. If you do this, but are a little unsure, just keep the cat in the bathroom while at work for 1 or 2 days and that's it. Cats are naturally drawn to the "sand" in the pan (I once took my cat the beach and the first thing she wanted to do was claw the sand 😂 and poop) You can also train your dog to poop and pee on command. I use "hurry up". I just keep saying it until they poop and pee and then immediately reward with a "good girl" and take them inside. If you stand at a marker like a tree for example they will do their business near that marker and not all over the yard. Trained three dogs of various intelligences and level, of stubbornness to do it. My first one to train, a pug would literally start to cramp up for a poo at the hurry up commands. Great for when you're traveling, too. Or for small dogs that need to go out more frequently.

I was kinda hoping to use a covered litter box for a kitten so nothing falls into the box and also so we don't have to see it too. How should I train the kitten for that kind of box?

It may be best to start with having the cover off, once your kitten is used to the box then you can put the cover back on.

Same here!!! My kitten plays in it. I started with pads before the litter box because I got her only 2 weeks old. Now that I have a litter box she plays in it. So I put her own poop in it and she still plays in it 🤦🏾‍♀️
