If you have the Roam, or the ELEMNT, or the Bolt connected to your WiFi, it will sync all your routes whenever it finds it. And you can go to the map page and click "Routes" and then "sync", without even connecting to your phone, and it will sync all your routes. One drawback id that if you have a ton of routes like I used to have, it can overwhelm the unit and cause it to crash, sometimes it even factory resets itself.

Hey hey! What’s the safest way to store a multi day trip onto a wahoo roam - say you go the phone method but your iPhone runs out of battery, will the route still be there or will it go with the phone? If the phone goes, and you’re sleeping so the wahoo is switched off, does the route also go then? I only seem to have 685mb of storage on a a factory reset wahoo…

Is there a way to add POI's to the route on the Wahoo? Can't seem to find any info on this.

Outside of 2005 and 2008, this team has sucked all of my lifetime, I don’t even consider 2020/21 good years as they were a disappointment. So expectations are always low…until ownership changes and someone serious takes over the team.
