Took out my good buddy and former Army Veteran "Mr. Vince" to one of Savannah's barrier islands for a fun day on the water. We anchored the boat and fished on foot for most of the morning and got into some respectable red fish and flounder. Savannah local here, love fishing with the wife but it can be exhausting sometimes to not catch em. I appreciate you doing a walking video because it gives me some hope! Us college students can't afford a boat but we can still get out and make the best of it.

I own the 16 ProSkiff but this video was shot in my buddies 15 ProSkiff with the 60Merc. We both love our skiffs, great shallow water boat and handles decent chop in the sound. I’m honestly looking to get into the Mako 18LTS or the Hewes Redfisher18 soon. Both are great boats. My family is growing and I need just a touch more room while still being able to stay skinny. Do you have a certain “flavor” of the pro-cure that you think works best? I’ve never used it but have seen it used by people in other videos and seems to be pretty popular.

Hey thanks for the comment, I haven’t noticed a difference in scent yet. I switch between shrimp-blue crab all the time. I believe in it. Just make sure your bait is dry before you apply it. And if your using a brand new soft plastic right out of the bag wipe off the slick oil they put on them first.

Hey Zach. Hey thanks for the support. That spot is not reachable by foot. I was just showing what to look for when fishing by foot. Tybee north beach is a great place to wade fish. Definitely rent a kayak while your son here and hit the north side of Little Tybee Island. There are 2 creeks on that side that are dynamite.

How are you not getting tore up by gnats went out yesterday and was getting almost carried away and I saw a mess load of reds tearing those tiny shrimp up but coulent connect

I spray the 100% DEET bug repellent on me and that seems to keep everything away. What bait were you using to sight cast to them? Whenever I see tailing Reds in the shallows I scale down the weight on my jig as well as the profile of the lure. For instance I’ll throw a Zman EZ shrimp on a 1/16-1/8 ounce jig slathered in Pro-Cure and work it super super slow. Think “ finesse”. Just make sure when your site casting to any fish throw it a good 4-5 feet past it and work the lure slowly back towards them or try to figure out the direction they’re working and lay it out in that direction and wait for them to swim towards it then start slowly bumping it on the bottom. @@LowCountryFishing I cant seem to find the procure or the bass hooks with wait on em I like the set up ur throwing I'm currently throwing the zman new penny paddle tail and a doa cal paddle tail along with the z man shrimp on a 1/4 oz. Jig maybe might be a little bit much weight spooking em off they were really shallow if you head to coffee bluff and put in I kayaked to that first larger creek and they were staring it up blowing up on mullet and shrimp just couldnt get a bite but was a good learning day for the first time at a new spot

@@LowCountryFishingso ive got the vertical weighted drop hooks 3/0 1/8oz never really done weedless rigs so I guess ill be messing with this z man shrimp for a bit trying to make it look good and I tell you what poked about 20 holes in this z man shrimp and man o man does it hold up no tears no nothing still looks like a good new bait
