Thanks man, I wondered how to loop a fire sim within Blender. I do the same thing in Davinci Resolve to loop things!

When I exported this fire simulation and imported it into after effects but it comes with a black backround, although I exported it in png format and checked on the '' transparent '' option in the render section. What's the issue?

I guess you didn't use the RGBA option. When you have a transparent option, in the Save As function, you need to select RGBA in the options where A stands for Alpha (the transparency channel). Only then the transparency is saved, otherwise you'll get a solid background.

Hi. Thank you very much for these explanations :). When I activate the transparent background, the png file does not save the appearance of the flame (it's ok when the background is opaque). How do you do that? I can't generate a PNG with a transparent background, but it seems to work in your tutorial. THANKS :)

If you are able to see the transparency in the output, but it does not get saved i.e. it does not get stored when you save it as a png, please check your save options. You need to select the RGBA option (A means Alpha or transparency). The default option is RGB without transparency. Once you switch over to RGBA the png file should get saved correctly.

hello, when I import the vide0 (mkz) file as import to plane, I cannot figure out how to make plane transparent so I only see the smoke.

Hello, I'm using cycles and my fire doesn't have emissions/? I mean it's like a smoke that doesn't have light like a real fire would have.

Hi, are you using the blackbody emission? Please turn up that value for the domain material, to get the flame of the fire visible. Please let us know if that still does not work in your case.

This particular scene was rendered on a very low end win10 pc with Intel Core-i5 CPU, 2.3 GHz clock speed, 8 GB RAM and no supported GPU. Took few minutes to bake & render.

Hi bro, please double check your light and the domain material settings (density, emission etc), and it has to be a volume shader. If you can see the smoke or fire in the solid view mode, and it is not appearing in the rendered view, the reason is definitely your material or the lighting. @@RaNBOWMAN-ft1dr Density is for the smoke, and emission is for the fire. Please watch this tutorial thoroughly from 2:40 onward, it is explained. Otherwise please send your blend file to us, we will revert back.

For anyone who sees nothing in Rendered mode: Nevermind, thought I had a fix but I don't. It's something to do with him changing the start frame, though. For me, when I change the start frame to 200 or whatever, the simulation simply doesn't happen.

@@5MinutesBlender It's not a material issue, it's that the simulation won't happen unless I start at frame 1.
