Old detailer trick. Use 0000 steel wool to scrub and polish the glass. It will not scratch and makes the glass look new. Then clay bar and glass cleaner. Been doing this for years. Hope this helps. Louvers look great.

I watched your video and then figured out a much easier way to do the entire install and entirely without any helper. Came out perfect. I only wish I had video recorded my installation to show how easy it can be done alone.

cleaning the window underneath is gonna take a few extra steps but it think it looks pretty good black on black.

I really wanted Maplefed to say in a lowered voice, "I'm Batman" when you asked him what he thought of them. Personally, I've never been a fan of louvers, but they look pretty decent on Maplefed's car especially with that ZL1 wing.

You're my go to KZfaq camaro guy you, explain in details. My x-mas gift was side black carbon louvers on my black camaro, so i just purchased ikon black carbon for the rear I'm excited for the new look.

OK, People who buy these louvers, here are two extra steps that will make this a largely painless install that you won't have to immediately go and fix: 1) BUY ADHESION PROMOTER. 3M sells this, and it is advisable that you not only coat the brack BEFORE you put the double sided tape on, but you also thoroughly clean your window with neutral alcohol and then treat the area also with adhesion promoter. 2) SEAL YOUR BRACKETS. Whether you use Gorilla Glue tape or the included 3M tape, you MUST seal them with RTV clear silicone to ensure that your brackets stay waterproof and in turn don't end up peeling. As a final note, something that few videos and none of the included instructions clue you in on: All adhesives need cure time in order to properly bond to its surface. Guess what injures that process: putting your heavy louver onto the car and screwing it into the mounts before the adhesion has properly cured. In fact, as you see in the video, the resistance of the louver was pulling the double sided tape up even before it had time to cure. Mount the brackets ONE DAY before screwing in the louver for good. Let the adhesive have time to cure and you will get the absolute best results.

I do like these more than other 6th gen. I had louvers on my 5th gen, from MRT (Mustang Racing Tech of all places lol). What was great about those, that they where aluminum, and they hinged at the top, so you could open them up and clean under them at a car wash or anywhere. I cant seem to find that anymore. I wonder when MRT or if they decide to make them for the 6th gen.

I followed all the same instructions and when I screw the louver to the mounting plates they got ripped off the glass. I needed to have one guy push down on the plastic while I screwed in the bolt since the screw is so short and as soon as we got the screw to thread it pulled it right off the glass.

Question, I love the look that louvers gives especially to a darker colored car. With that said, I have a 2019 Camaro I've been thinking about adding louvers to BUT I live in Florida and it gets hot as balls here. Would the adhesive melt off and send the louvers flying or falling off the car? Especially if I park in direct sunlight?

I did get the blacked out third tail light which looks so much better, it's just something about those black tail lights look tacky on the black Camaro. I can't decide. They do look good on white!
