We tackled assembling the bike as a family project. kzfaq.infoUgkxzg0clhbtRf2gGxPkVETFKJJKGqdsorQu The package is heavy, but I have 2 teen boys that were able to move it. The written instructions were great- we didn't need to watch the videos, but it was good knowing that the option was there if we needed it. After we were able to get it set up, the boys each rode 3 miles and I rode 8 and the bike stayed quiet. The display is easy to reset, and you can put it on whichever setting you are using (time, distance, calories, etc). I will say that my butt is a little sore from the seat, but that could be because I haven't rode in a while. While it is comfortable for me, it was not comfortable with the seat position for my friend (could not move the seat back far enough and he slightly looked like a kid riding a tricycle that he had outgrown). He also said that the seat hurt his manly parts. We are going to look for a different seat that will be compatible with this bike for him.I did purchase the Wahoo Cadence sensor and strapped it to the crank of one of the pedals. This will sync with my Apple Watch, iPhone and will import data in to my Health app. Wahoo does have other sensors available other than cadence. I can also keep either my phone or my iPad on the display and they both feel pretty secure.

My Sunny spin bike with cow leather brake pad material said to use 3n1 oil and specifically said not to use silicone. But the 3n1 oil was so stinky during my cycling sessions...what with all that citronella smell they add to the oil that I switched to using a high grade purity sewing machine oil that I believe is a highly refined mineral oil but it's also scent free. I soaked the pads overnight after brushing them with a stainless steel wire brush and then gently squeezed out the excess onto paper towels. I ended up removing and flipping over the brake pad so instead of using the somewhat glazed looking smooth side I used the rough side of the cow leather and it seems to be working much better now without any nasty smell and it operates very smoothly.

Thanks for the tip. My brake pad, not like yours, rests a little on the rim at no resistance. Should this be and if not is there a way to adjust the arm or pad? Thanks

Mine is also screaming unbearably loud and I was sent this video to resolve it and unfortunately to now it hasn’t - I’ve only had it a week and can’t use it properly because of the noise it makes when I pick up speed and turn the tension on!!

I purchased a cyclo6 today and being a heavier guy (6 ft @ 18stone) i was worried about how the bike would fair, and after cranking the resistance and hitting a few climbs the bike stayed completely stationary, an incredible affordable solid piece of equipment i highly recommend

Hi, thanks for the video. In the description it says to only lubricate leather brake pads. What’s the solution then if you have this issue but your brake pads are felt?

Just a guess. It may be time to replace the felt pad.

I got some moleskin from the drugstore. One pad is working fine but for some reason the other side keeps coming off (likely not a good surface for adherence). Try it and see.

You can use silicone lubricant for felt brake pads too: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ms6aZpaq39eUgoE.html

I didn't have any silicone lubricant so I used the oil designed for my outdoor bike chain. Was that a mistake? If so, how do I undo my mistake? Thanks.

I've seen other people use WD-40. The oil you used may attract more dirt than silicone, but it's probably OK.

@@mscdvdsn WD40 is not a lubricant. At least not the standard WD40. WD40 as a brand do have lubes in their product line though.

@@20cent Thanks for the clarification! I didn't have silicone lubricant, so used the sewing machine lubricant that I had handy. This has worked well so far. However, it's probably best to use the silicone lubricant recommended in the video.

Just bought one. Very stiff and squeaky. But that's more that likely because it's brand new and never been pedaled.

Good Day. Our gym purchased new spinning bikes. The braking pad looks similar to that one. one some of the bike when you put on resistance it makes n loud noise almost like if the brakes are going to seize up. what can be the issue. hope u can help
@Sidewalkchalk27
@Sidewalkchalk27 6 жыл бұрын
Oil them. When you hear that squeak its because the pads really need oil. Keeping the pads oiled will prevent this.
