Oh my God!! Fr. John Bosco has been a great saint ????? I always had same thoughts and inclinations to behave like St. John Bosco. But was afraid to put it into practice thinking that it is too much. But now after listening to this video...I have decided to imitate him. Ave Maria!! This saint is so inspiring!!

Not sure St. John Bosco would approve of the first three words of your comment. "You shall not make wrongful use of the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not acquit anyone who misuses His name." (Deuteronomy 5:11 NRSVCE)

A great example for us today on how to conduct ourselves (even behind closed doors). The purity must come from within, we need to sweep our houses clean and keep them that way.

I come from a family of several Salesian priests, bishops and even a Pope in the 1800s. Don Bosco is an example of chastity and purity just like St. Benedict of Norcia.

Please do you have any sources of what you are talking about here. I would really like to see them because I find this extremely interesting and in compliance with some of the instructions of st. A. Liguori, but also in such a contrast with the modern demenor. I often really don't know how should I conduct myself or how to encourage others to conduct themselves. Humbly, I try to always think about the pain that Jesus suffered at the Cross to give me strength to resist lust in its various forms. I just tell myself the insignificance of my avoidance of lust in comparison to His pain at the Cross. Blessings.
