why when the comparator output equals high, the PNP transistor turns off ? shouldnt it be the opposite ?

The 2 Diodes Before 1R @1N4148 ,If You Replace With 1N4001 Diode Will Provide More Current & Battery Will Charge Properly,Thanks n Regards From India💚💐

when charging , some current is wasted via 1n4148 and 100ohm to ground ！Is it possible to make good use of 2nd comparator controlling the green led .

can the load output of the tp4056 circuit be reduced the voltage with two resistors one of 10k 1/2w and another of 18k 1/2w? to be able to charge 1.2v batteries

The voltage regulator used in the video acceps voltages upto 16v so the input voltage should be around 5v to 16v

Please help A battery is to be charged and a circuit to compare the voltage across a battery is to be used , when the voltage across the battery is less or equal to 5v , The LED on the comparator will switch off indicating that the battery is still low, however once the voltage is greater than 5v then the LED will switch on indicating that the battery is about to be full .

NiMh batteries not charhing with only voltage cut off! Read wiki or other sources. Your circuit no have voltage referance and depended to power souce. This is incorrect.
