I finally passed $30 per day in dividend income! 😊 $1.26 per hour around the clock! I’ve been over $20 per day for several years. Takes awhile but I think it’s speeding up!

How much do you have in each dividen?

Amazing!! Congratulations. I also love your $1.26 per hour calculation - that is a fun way to keep an eye on your dividends and to keep giving yourself a raise!

I had 200 sahres of "T" when they split. Before split it was $0.52 every quarter. After split was $0.26 every quarter till last one, it was $.027. I have 450 sahres of "BIGZ" and 250 shares of "QYLD". With those 2 I am just under a $100 a month. Then I have 200 shares of "F" (Ford), alomng with 100 shares of "ZIM". T, F, and ZIM pay quartly and each pay a different month So I get a payout for one of them each month also along with my monthly payout from QYLD and BIGZ.

Just curious as to why you used ETF/Stock data from December of 2022 for a video that was published in June of 2023.

Using Stocks and ETF'S is useful. And looking at the difference of qualified vs non-qualified dividends, as they are taxed differently.

I've been binge watching your videos for absolutely no reason, you're very entertaining and it's just fun to think about the numbers behind what I could earn in dividends.
@GUNNER67akaKelt Жыл бұрын
I've seen a few people who put everything in one ETF, 'because it's already diversified'. I think that doesn't take into account things that could happen with the ETF. What if there's a scandal at the company? What if some of the people that run it get together and decide to take the money and run. Maybe new management comes along and runs it into the ground. Putting all your very expensive and hard won eggs into one basket just seems like a terrible idea.

Add a solid BDC like AARC or MAIN to diversify your portfolio and bump up your income 😁. Don’t think SCHD or VOO are the only investment options out there.
@BobSharpe Жыл бұрын
Great point - I have some MAIN and just like "O" which is a REIT, it provides some great dividend diversification.

Hi Bob, Great story about you turning your finances around! How long did it take you to reach that level?
@BobSharpe Жыл бұрын
Thank you! It took 10 years. It felt like forever, and sounds like a long time, but looking back 10 years wasn't all that bad. Now, onward and upward!

I'm adding another comment because you brought up DRIP and it is something you've made me want to start doing however I'm wondering if you can shed light on what I need to do to be able to do that on Webull?
@BobSharpe Жыл бұрын
Such a great question. Unfortunately Webull doesn't allow DRIP yet (although I keep getting on them about getting this done!). You can, with their fractional share process, reinvest the dividends yourself manually at this time (however, as we all know DRIP is so much easier!).

So with the new acorns premium you can buy standalone stocks which i just recently got over two month's ago and chose all the ones that pay dividends monthly yet i have yet to receive any dividends at all from them? Is acorns taking my dividends??? I do get dividends from the core investment VOO and other core stuff but I'm getting zero from the standalone stocks 😅 two months in what gives??? Is acorns not letting me get dividends from the standalone stocks??

Should I rub it in, that the ASX 200 (the equivalent the the S&P 500 but is Australian) has a dividend payout of around 4% lol God I love living in a country that gives tax breaks for dividends

i think the calculator is not giving the right amount...I think the total on the calculator you created gives the amount of "shares" you need to invest not the amount of "money" you need to invest. $100 (how much you want to make in a month) x 12 (12 months in a year) = 1200 / yield amount = amount of shares you will need to make $100/m how much will $100/m of these shares will cost? amount of shares x stock price = amount you money you need to invest to make $100/m
@jacqueslee2592 Жыл бұрын
$100 is not much to invest that amount. Might as well just get a CD and put your money there.
