Hey Michele! I would agree, Cricut Design Space is more plug and play, but Silhouette Studio has many more options, so it just depends on what your needs are 💛 I will certainly add another video like this for Silhouette in the near future! ---Becky

Yeah, I don't unfortunately have the money OR the way with all to buy my self a new Cricut Maker Machine (AS MUCH AS I AM BUSTING TO DO SO). i JUST HAVE TO WORK WITH WHAT I HAVE IN MY ARSENAL (So to speak). I kind of feel like Silhouette has more of a learning curve than what the Cricut Maker machine is.. I have just been diagnosed with LUPUS and one of the VERY MANY symptoms is BRAIN FOG!! No Kidding, So I am finding it difficult to wrap my head around certain things (i.e Understanding, comprehending things that I should normally be able to do! So... I appreciate your willingness to do a video for me regarding how to cut out those beautiful layered Mandalas with the Silhouette Portrait (I have the Designer Edition, however, the cutting mat is only US letter size (which the don't sell anymore - now it's a bit bigger at 8 inches x 12 inches. Will I still be able to use one of the newer mats in my machine once I have used it up??? I look forward to your reply (and video) Cheers Becky!!

Hey Peggy! I have not, but I do know that most HTV manufacturers suggest layering no more than 3 layers on top of each other, so I'm not sure that HTV would be a good fit for layered designs like these. Hope this helps! ---Becky

I think she changed the size when all of the pieces were selected at once so that they were the correct size in relation to each other. If you try and change the size individually it's gonna get messy because they aren't all going to be the exact same height and width.

Hey there! These are wire scrapbook paper racks, I used the for sheets of adhesive vinyl. I actually wouldn't recommend them unless you just need them to look pretty, the vinyl/paper doesn't slide in well, the corners get caught in the back and wrinkle/fold. Anywho, you can find them online, I grabbed these a few years ago and just remember that the shipping was as much as the shelves LOL. Good luck on your hunt! ---Becky

Any light-to-medium tack mat should work, just make sure it's not super-sticky or you risk tearing the cardstock. Hope this helps! ---Becky

That would be great my only problem would be I use illustrator not cricut design space .

@@DesignBundles I've designed in Design Space, but it's really a pain because you can't directly edit curves, and you really need to know your geometry and trigonometry in order to make things match up and work properly. (Here's a link to a business card holder I designed just using Basic Shapes design.cricut.com/landing/project-detail/5c9df04099a7436491c688f0). It took several prototypes to get the angles correct and to be able to hold the business cards without collapsing or falling over.
