Hi ! Just wanted to get back with you . Just to say the paper I've been working with is printer paper but in different colors . So it has been working out , the paper is pretty much to the point where I can easily do all the folding , Sending Greetings from Washington State U.S.A. I'm going to have to figure out on how to run the wiring and installing A light bulb , word of caution because of the lamp Is all paper is there a chance of burning or fire igniting . ? I'm wondering if it all depends on the type of bulb to use like soft white or low intensity of the bulb. What would you suggest .? Thank you again And on your project , where did your idea generate from ! ? Will you have any more upcoming videos in the near future ? Love the lamp idea .

In continuation of you comment the creator on this project in my opinion why he/she did not cover on the placement of wiring and type of socket with light bulb . I always wanted to make a 3d origami lamp. I tried different patterns and finally came up with this one. I have inserted the bulb holder through the red stacked pieces and then brought it to top. For me , the bulb holder was small enough to pass through the pieces. And then added the bulb.

Hello there ! I'm still a little confused on how you brought light bulb socket thru the entire lamp but What did you have to do to keep the socket And light bulb in place and hold it there This was my other question . Please respond! Thanks .

Hi there ! Good question ! I had the same deal that when you started your project the shade of pink was a lot Lighter than mine so I used a lot darker shade of pink but still came out great I'm in the process of making 3 other lamps the same way but in different color variations .

Need to know exactly how you ran your electrical Wiring thru the entire lamp and what you had to do to hold the socket and light bulb upright in place . Please respond.

Hey, I have used red, light pink and blue colors. The red is kind of vermilion color which I have used. I didn't think of any color combinations I just used what I had. And I think dark red should also look good. Btw sorry for responding so late :-)

Hey, thank you so much ✨🙂 I have been afraid of the same though. But I used a low wattage bulb and made sure that the bulb does not touch the paper in any way and there is enough space between them.

Hey, you can buy the papers from any stationary shop, ask for A3/ A4 size papers of the colors that you want. Don't buy very thick papers as it is difficult to fold.

Hello there ! Like to answer this question as well Depending on where your from, we have a Office Depot and Michael's Arts and Crafts and Hobby Lobby store , you might want to Check them out as well , Office Depot has What ever colors u might be searching for your project . Best of luck .

Hey, I mostly use 4.5 x 3 cms or 6 x 4 cm. For this lamp I have used 4.5 x 3 cms. And yes they will be small , but for me I felt it was okay as I always use the same dimensions. You can use larger pieces anyways if you feel they are way too small 🙂

Hi, each piece is of dimensions 4.5 x 3 cms. which I think would be somewhat equal to A4x32 pieces.
