Logic stock plugins sound better than some of your most expensive 3rd party synthesizers. 💯

Another thing you can do to further things is, select Square/Pulse as one or more of your waves and then if you hit settings (bottom right corner) on retro synth and set velocity to waveshape, depending on the velocity played it will play the pulse at at different point, giving some subtle variation each time a note is played. You can combine this with the velocity to Filter Env on the main Retro Synth panel for even more variation.

Thank you for this, I was struggling with my college project of writing music to a moving image, the game im writing music for is mirror's edge catalyst and the clip ive got really fit a synth wave feel and this helped a bunch with getting my intial ideas of the ground.

Jaw dropping! I didn't know you could drag the arpeggiated sequence to a midi track. And the "hand" feature is really cool as well to add variations. Very useful videos, thanks a lot!

For some reason when I ad the midi to track it adds a bunch of notes. Has worked before, and it keeps playing afterwords as well
