How to Make a Barn Board Baby Gate / Pet Gate

I used a 2x12x8, two 1x4x8, four 1x6x6 tongue and grove boards and some 2 inch rubber casters to create this modern barn board style rolling baby gate for my youngest son.
I stained it with Varithane colour chocolate and applied 2 coats of satin water based polyurethane.

Basically ripped everything down to your measurements? I like the sliding method you used for the wall. I suppose simple 1x2’s work just as well.

What an adorable baby! Gate seems heavy and sturdy. Should hold up to extreme baby/toddler conditions haha!

Just 1 piece of advice, attach a small piece of wood on the face in front of the wheels (to hide it a little), so that babies can't get their little fingers caught in the wheel clamp.....it's not a pretty sight or sound.

Nice work and original. Just be careful the little one doesn’t learn to climb it. The cross braces can act as positive edges for feet and hands.

What is dimensions plan for track doesnt show in plans. Very good video and idea i am doing this myself and cant figure out rail part.

Yes i made 2 bigger projects that i havnt been able to released because the client is applying the finish themselves and im patiently waiting for finished pictures before putting videos up.

DIY Builds I looked at your channel and you've put out a couple videos I don't remember seeing. Maybe I just missed them but I usually check my subscriptions every day. I did notice that KZfaq changed some of my notification settings from "all" to "occasional" without telling me. Yours was still set to "all" though so it seems like I should have seen your recent videos.
