Before buying this sander I would use a rotary sander kzfaq.infoUgkx3Pc2vLXfcgM5oIpF1iYcIWyFhHUC-G6v and didn't see the need for a belt sander. Boy was I wrong. this belt sander does the job quickly and gives a professional finish to the wood work.

Cool work but you need a block of wood with a piece of steel plate over it to support the sanding belt so that you can sand things perfectly flat. This is coming from someone who loved building many belt sanders way back in 1991 when I was 14 and at high school - believe me the teachers were gobsmacked when they saw the belt and disc sanders I built working and I won many awards in Craft Design Technology! :)
